I had been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time, and my husband and I finally went for my birthday. The atmosphere and service were good, but unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to expectations.
We ordered the bigoli nero and the duck ragU. The duck ragu was okay—nothing memorable—but the bigoli nero lacked flavor entirely. At $36 per pasta dish, the portions were quite small, and the overall quality just didn’t justify the price.
I always consider the answer to the question, “Would you order this again?” to be the ultimate test—and in this case, the answer is no.
The food was amazing! We enjoyed a bottle of wine and ordered the mussels, nduja sausage, fennel & pomodoro, sourdough focaccia & olive oil , campanelle & braised beef ragu bianco, and the radiatore verde & mushroom trifolati. The service was top notch as well and we appreciated the recommendations! The only critique we had was that some of the two person middle tables are very close and could be a little more spaced for comfort. Just forewarning for visitors, it isn’t in the best of areas but we never felt unsafe so to say and would definitely recommend going to eat here!
You put your high-end restaurant in one of the low poverty places in Canada and you call yourself a high end restaurant. I live right beside you I see you get your bread by non-professional people in their own personal cars. Which is disgusting.
Cozy spot with a great vibe and really kind staff. It’s a nice place to visit, but the food was a bit too salty for my taste, and the wait time was longer than expected.
An absolutely stellar experience. The restaurant is small and cozy, creating an intimate atmosphere for its guests. All of its food is nothing short of perfect - my companions and I shared a great number of appetizers and dishes, and everything was sublime! It is easy to see why this place has so many brilliant reviews. I would highly recommend for anybody looking for some of the best Italian food in Vancouver!
I genuinely question anyone who did not give this place 5 stars—are you okay? Hands down the best pasta I have ever tasted in Vancouver. Service is superb, atmosphere feels cozy and unpretentious, and the food is downright phenomenal—their Michelin star is well-deserved.
The food is delectable. Of the three mains we had, my partner and I were most surprised and delighted by the radiatore verde & mushroom trifolati (V), which we agreed was our favorite dish despite being huge meat lovers. Do yourself a favor and order the radiatore. We also greatly enjoyed the braised beef ragu and the seasonal special of crab, lobster, and spot prawn ravioli… I literally licked my plate for the first time in a restaurant. No regrets. For 2 of us, we ordered 3 pastas and a dessert for $150 (including a 15% tip).
The flavors are phenomenal, and I encourage you to savor every bite because this is exactly the kind of food that world-class chefs spend their lifetimes creating.
Interesting experience at this place. It was good not great per my own taste preferences.
My husband and I tried three dishes including one vegetarian, two appetizers, two desserts and three drinks.
There is a $5 additional fee for each gluten-free noodle dish. For peoplenot from here, there is an additional GST fee that will be on the bill.
The servers are attentive and polite.
The location was intense outside. My husband and I are not locals so we parked 2 blocks away and passed by two dozen people on the streets. About half were on substances with a smaller group looking like they medically needed help because they might have overdosed. One individual not fully was flashing the street. While inside the restaurant I observed other patrons looking serious watching some individuals on drugs acting unusual and flashing the world as they passed by on the sidewalk and walking in the street. Three cop cars passed by throughout the meal along with two different ambulances with lights on. I hope they went to help the comatose druged-out people. This was disturbing and saddening so for me it affected my experience while at this place for a meal.
This place is well-deserving of every single accolade! High quality Italian food with exceptional service.
The cauliflower is a must as an appetizer, and you can't go wrong with any of their pasta dishes.
Very tiny spot (tables are very close together) and always busy. In my experience, it's usually possible to get in without a reso if you show up closer to 5/6 pm.
Ask For Luigi is a great cozy Italian eatery in downtown East Vancouver. It has been serving delicious Italian fare for 11 years at this location. I enjoyed my visit and had great service and explanation of the menu options. A must visit if you have the time.
Well it's on the Michelin Guide and it did not disappoint. The whole time I was sad that eventually my meal would.be finished.

Lovely place! The service and food were both good. The ragu pasta was especially delicious? It was a little pricey, but it was good for a special occasion.
But, the tables were too close?
