We went to play darts, after seeing dart boards in a photo in a google search of “darts Vancouver”. No darts there now, replaced by basketball hoops. Disappointed, we sat down to figure out where to go next and the bartender came over and made a couple of suggestions. Super nice of him, considering we weren’t staying for a drink. The ping pong was happening - 2 tables of foursomes having a blast. It’s got a gritty-fun vibe and looks like a fun place to go for a beer and some ping pong.And we did find darts at a place the bartender recommended - at The London Pub a couple of blocks away on Main St. (except it was UFC Nite). So we ended up at the Ivanhoe. Two empty boards there.

I absolutely love this place but every time I try to go it's always closed and I don't know why. I've asked before and they said that sometimes it's not as busy so they close early. The vibe in this place is amazing, tons of fun, great music. I usually tend to go alone or with friends.

Ping pong dive bar in Gastown area.Parking is available on the streets. Sketchy neighbourhood.The inside is definitely divey. Floor is sticky. Tables are sticky. Ping pong balls are sticky. Basically reminds me of the Met, but with ping pong.Staff are friendly. Beers are a bit pricey.The ping pong area has a cosmic theme, with some black light I think. The ping pong balls are orange, and seemed to glow a bit. Good for some casual fun. Just try not to get too tipsy when playing.

This place is a DIVE. Do not expect a clean pristine and supreme enviorment for your ping pong endevours. However, the service was great and there is a fun, relaxed atmosphere.

Over charged for time spent, one of the workers intentionally stepped on a ping pong ball of ours and crushed it under his foot randomly. The bartender was friendly but definitely overcharged approx 30 mins charged for like over an hour according to their prices, it was fun but those two things need to be changed. Made me feel sour after, but enjoyed the ping pong and drink. Left a good tip regardless, but probably won’t go back.

It’s kinda dark inside and the place is old. However, there are lots of fun activities like ping pong tables, basketball hoops, and games. They only serve drinks and have no food but you are allowed to bring in your own food which is nice. The air is a little musty but you get used to it. That’s about it. It’s a hangout place.
Edit: Hate to say this but this place has really gone downhill. We took one step in the place and the smell couldn't have been more off-putting. Hopefully they can get it together. Wont be back until basic hygiene is sorted out.Awesome place to come with a group of friends. Make sure to make a reservation if you plan on coming in later on a weekend night!

We arrived on Friday for a good time, it started off rough as soon as we walked in and were hit with a strong odour. You get past it over time, we started to play some table games and could feel the heat inside. They had 1 little fan at the door. We went to order drinks at the bar and were told the Dispensing Unit was not working and they could only service hard alcohol in the form of shots or with Ginger Beer.The Bar Tenders were very nice and apologetic, let us know they wouldn't have it fixed anytime soon, they reached out to the vendor. Ended up leaving shortly after.I wouldn't go back, due to the heat and the smell. But overall very nice bar staff and if you're into table games worth checking out.

Just another downtown bar attached to an S.R.O. hotel the Columbia Hotel. It's been renovated but it just isn't all that popular of a place. Good to just sit drunk alcohol and listen to music.
