Food quality n choices compared to other locations in Richmond n Burnaby is meh… non spicy dishes are more spicy than mid spicy ones and excessively oily. Wasn’t crowded so staffs packed up and ate before closing time.

Service is the same as every Chinese restaurant not the best. But the food on other hand was NUTSSS. We paid around 35$ after tips per person which doesn’t come on the cheaper end but it was super filling. We got basa fish soup dish, spicy beef and spicy fried boneless chicken. The fried boneless chicken dish’s peanuts were not crunchy as the previous time that I came. The free side dish was radish this time, preferred the beans one from last time tbh. The coconut milk drink was sooo good the packaging looks sketchy but damn the drink was phenomenal! The sticky rice with brown sugar syrup was comforting , great way to end the meal! Recommend to come w a group of friends so you can try a lot of dishes!! Also in this economy , pack the leftovers without the meat to go and you can always fry some protein at home to cook it! 🤣❤️
Super spicy and flavorful. Authentic Szechuan cuisine.

We came to the Robson location this time for a late lunch and ordered the fried rice and Sichuan double-cooked pork. The spicy pork was one of the best I have ever tasted in my life. We love the fried rice as well. Not greasy and salty, just absolutely perfect. Great location, great meal!! Sorry, no pictures because we finished the two dishes in no time.

Such good, authentic Sichuan! With cute ambiance and very attentive and friendly staff to top it off! Too bad it was just the both of us so we couldn’t order as much as we would’ve liked to try- we really enjoyed our mapo tofu and white cabbage soup, the dishes were huge and we weren’t able to finish them. We left bursting at our seams and very content with dinner. Definitely coming back the next time we are in Vancouver.

Oh this was so good. The portions are huge and of course I underestimated the spice level: I picked medium but should have gone less spicy. Lesson learnt! Szechuan food has my two most favorite dishes: shredded potato and ma po tofu. I could only pick one so I picked the potato. Will have to go back to try more. It’s a small seating area and people wait quite a bit but when we came in there was a table ready. Also I love how some guests were sitting at a table alone and devouring huge servings. How do you do it?? Did you take a to go bag at the end? I guess I’ll never know because I was too shy to ask. Wonderful experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I ordered a Beef Noodle for dinning in. It took 30 mins to serve, and there are sand and insect eggs at the root of the vegetable. Do you not wash your vegetables?! I would wash it at least three times at home. Double check if you are order there!

A big Ban Bu Xian, Long Term Loyal Customer, Tried Richmond Branch so many time. Staff is friendly. But food tastes varies alot. Especially this location doesnt have a consistent taste on the same dish.

We regularly ate at Ban Bu Xian in Shanghai, and was surprised to find one in Vancouver! Same flavors, same generous portions, we come every time we crave for bullfrog!

This restaurant is so much better than many others in downtown. Great taste, sufficient quantity, and reasonable price. We came to this restaurant twice when we were in Vancouver

So delicious we went here twice during our trip. It's a little pricey compared to everything in the area, but the taste is unbeatable. Portion sizes are also quite large. Overall the value is really good. Also compared to US prices, it's 20-30% cheaper than what you would find there. I'm a big fan of the spicy snakehead fish that everyone else seemed to ordered. The celery beef was also delicious.
