First time dining here upon a friend's recommendation. Loved the ambiance and décor (hanging lantern fixtures, ceiling flowers, cushions, in contrast with the more retro black/white checkered flooring). Had the Vegetarian Vermicelli ($27) with spring rolls, lemongrass tofu, and grilled mushrooms. The long pieces of mushroom were a little hard to chew through, but the spring rolls were crisp and the tofu had ample flavour/marinade. The bowl was plated and garnished nicely....
This is the only place in Vancouver where you should eat Vietnamese food! The food is delicious and fresh. The Pho broth is so nourishing, and no MSG is used. The owner and her staff are kind and thoughtful as well. Having lived in Vancouver for a long time, this is the most rewarding Vietnamese food experience I’ve had.
The food was excellent, and the service matched. For dinner, we tried the Grilled Whole Squid, Spring Rolls, and Papaya Salad—highly recommend all of it! Be sure not to miss the Chicken Vermicelli and Fried Noodles.
