I ordered the Banoffee pie for my husbands birthday and it was AWESOME. I was called into work last minute and couldn't collect during the agreed time, but the staff were so kind and flexible. They worked with me to make alternative arrangements. Will definitely order from these guys again.

I only have good things to say about buttermere. Their cakes are works of edible art. Perfect for a celebratory centrepiece. We picked one up for Mother’s Day and our mom was impressed. Sweetness is just right, not too sweet like North American cakes.

We're impressed by Buttermere Patisserie. I live in the Kootenays and ordered a chocolate number cake for my niece's sweet 16th. The order was handled thoughtfully and professionally. The number cake was amazingly beautiful and I'm told, delicious. Delivery time was accommodated. I will be ordering again in the future for my nephew's birthday and I have no doubt Buttermere Patisserie won't disappoint. Thank you for being a very special part of my very special niece's sweet 16th birthday. Definitely deserving of a 5 star review.

Loved the services and the product from Buttermere Patisserie. I reached out Buttermere with my request very late but the services were awesome. The request is prioritized and they delivered the cake right at my home in a specified time. Also I like to acknowledge the great tracking app they use - that updates real-time about the delivery progress and this helped me plan without any hitch. Finally the cake is exactly what I wanted and we loved the taste ! Will go back to Buttermere anytime I would need a cake :) :)

The first time we bought a cake from them, we were already hooked up with their not-so-sweet yet flavourful, rich with ingredients, moist, and always had lovely designs. We have been buying from them, and so far, it never disappoints; yes, it's pricy, but so far, we're mcontented with the cakes. Sometimes we buy on Sale cakes if we happen to see one too. It is highly recommended for special occasions.

Another pretentious Vancouver cafe/bakery. Had their hojicha roll cake. It's basically a dry tasteless gritty sponge cake with some less than fresh cream. Looking at their website, I discover again that the owner is not a career pastry chef, but rather has a background in communications and marketing, similar to Beaucoup Bakery. I'm not sure what it is but there seems to be an epidemic of these types of businesses these days where it's all fluff and marketing with fancy pics and high prices but no actual substance. Not sure why there are so many middle-aged people with communication degrees who want to become "pastry chefs" these days, but please stop. Thankfully, it looks like their cafe is closed now, so they are most likely on their way out. I'm sorry but I just have no more tolerance for these types of bs cafe/bakeries any more. It really makes me appreciate the old school, honest, down to earth places with good quality and decent prices a lot more. Please either improve and become a legit pastry chef, or do something more related to your field of study.

I've ordered multiple cakes from Buttermere before and have been really impressed with the combination of flavours and aesthetics of the cake. For my wedding, I ordered a 2 tier naked cake from them and once again, they never failed to disappoint. The chiffon was very moist and soft, flavours are AMAZING! i will definitely be ordering from them again

Ordered the 6 pack of snow skinned mooncakes for $68 and was sooo disappointed. Tried the taro one (image below) and not only did it look super factory made but the mooncake was super dry and terrible. You're better off buying Taipan mooncakes which are much more delicate and smooth and don't taste like dried up paste.
