My favourite breakfast spot in British Columbia! Kind staff, amazing food, special space.
This is my favorite restaurant in the city! The food is absolutely delicious, with huge portions. The cozy ambiance makes every visit feel special, and the staff always go above and beyond. Plus, you get to admire so many beautiful portraits while enjoying your meal. I recommend this place to everyone.

The vibe was fantastic, cool drawings, and friendly people including the painter himself. However to be honest i didn't enjoy my "shakshuka" at all, the eggs had an odd taste and slightly off and the bread was simple white toasts not even sour dough or something... to be fair hazelnut latte was very delicious! Probably i wouldn't visit there again.

I absolutely love Cafe Portrait. Today is cold and rainy, so after being outside for three hours, I stopped into the cafe for Bailey's and coffee. It is excellent. On Monday afternoon, I stopped for brunch and had a window seat. The poached eggs, mushroom and bacon plate was excellent. Eggs were perfect. Food hot. Since I walk by regularly, I know to visit on a weekday. Weekends have lines down the street. I am not one to wait in line, but Cafe Portrait is worth the wait. Photo includes the window seat where I sat on Monday.

Such an inspiring cafe that combines art&food at the same time.
Enjoyed its artistic atmosphere very much, along with its delightful menu and warm hospitality. I am pretty sure here will become your favorite spot to stop by at least every week <3 ;)

It was my first time going there, and would be my last time!
1) At the website didn’t mention it about how seating would work there. We have to line up and put our name in there waiting list. There was also first came first served. They also have another rule; if everyone has been there they can go in!!!!!! Otherwise even if you stay 20 minutes in the line and put 4 people in the list they won’t allow you to get in!!!!!!!
2) after 20 minutes wait, get in ; nobody comes to us to take our order
3) they serve in a broken plate!!!!
Beside all , very rude and disrespectful

We found it on the way walking towards a Tim Horton’s and my daughter asked if we could stop in here instead. I’m glad we did. The ambience was so cool. I loved all the paintings and the son of the gentleman who did all the paintings was there and was so pleasant my mocha coffee was great. I just felt so relaxed and comfortable. I even recommended it to another family member who will be visiting the area soon.

As the name implies, the cafe walls are covered with interesting portraits painted on a variety of surfaces. We had breakfast. Each item on the menu was prefaced with a name of an artist. Eg. Cezanne’s Turkish eggs
The food was delicious. The service very good. A gem of a place. Highly recommend is you want something prepared in a different way. Excellent flavours.
