My wife and I have been customers for many years and can honestly say that we have never had anything but a very positive experience. We find the demeanour of the chefs in training, while waiting on table charming. Thank you and keep up the good work
This truly is the best kept secret in Vancouver. In spite of a fire alarm evacution just prior to dinner time the fledgling chefs recouped to present us with a fine dining experience. 5 exciting and elegant courses paired with a fine wine that ably complimented the tastes we experienced . Everyone at our table enjoyed their evening and will remember it ad special.
The best lunch experience of my trip to Vancouver. I don't want to make a comparison, but it's a lower price and better quality than other restaurants. (Also the ingredients!) Servers were a little nervous(I totally understand) but they were kind and nice. I want everyone who lives in Vancouver or travels to Vancouver to experience here. So sad that I can't get dinner due to my travel schedule.
Wonderful experience highly recommend! The food was exceptional, attentive service, friendly atmosphere. We had 5 course dinner with wine pairing. Each dish was carefully arranged and balanced taste wise with sophistication . Visually every plate was a masterpiece. Thank you for lovely dinner. We will be back for sure!
High prices and no vegan options available.

A wonderful dining experience! The food was tasty and artfully plated! Clearly the students have a lot of talent and are being taught by highly skilled and talented chefs in their own right! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
Great overall experience- equivalent to dining at a high end restaurant without the high end price tag. Delightful service from eager students in training, under expert guidance from the instructor of front-of- the- restaurant. Just keep in mind it's a training facility and appreciate the relaxing pace. The food is top notch, great quality and impressively prepared and presented. All in all, a hidden gem that we'll be returning to for another meal soon.
We had another wonderful lunch at JJ's last week. As usual, the food was amazing and the service outstanding. I have also experienced their dinner service and it was fabulous. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great service. Wonderful food - done to perfection. Our group of six had the rack of lamb or the steelhead trout. Both were cooked perfectly and were very flavourful. The shrimp/scallop appetizer was amazing. For dessert, we had the lemon tart, cheesecake and the ganache. All were enjoyed immensely. The food, service and ambience were so superb that we've planned to come back to try the other entrees.
From the moment we stepped into JJ's Fine Dining, the Culinary Arts Instructor, Mr. Denis Liew was most personable and attentive.(this was noted for each guest) Lunch started with Appetizers from the Chefs...an endive filled with delicate tastes. We started with Boston Clam Chowder to die for! I indulged in delicate spare ribs... The Main Entre was Pork Wellington made to perfection....with a variety of Veggies. We treated ourselves to Virgin Pina Colada's... The Desserts consisted of Ganache, Lemon Tart and as it was my 76th Birthday ?, a Special Dessert was prepared with a Candle and a Sing-a-long! A truly Magical and Forever Cherished Birthday. Thank You to All the VCC Culinary Arts Students, Chefs, and Mr. Denis Liew, for his experience and expertise in foreseeing the whole successful outcome !

This was an amazing experience for my wife and I! The student team at VCC under the guidance of an experienced chef served an amazing 5 course meal, we would recommend this to anyone looking to try something new!
We were extremely pleased and happy for the service and the food. We are hoping to go back for either lunch or dinner and would highly recommend this restaurants to friends and family
I really appreciate the limited numbers of reservation so that the student chefs and servers are able to handle the customers with ease. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. One must remember that these are students learning and one must be prepared to spend a bit more time to be able to enjoy the full experience. Highly recommended.
They served great dishes. I used this restaurant to celebrate my friend's couple wedding anniversary, and we had a beautiful dessert plate with a message. We all certified their services and food.
A hidden gem of a dining experience. My wife and I have been going for several years. It only got better with first-class chefs and front-line staff overseeing the operation. Exceptional food and prices plus you get to witness students at VCC being trained in all aspects of fine dining. I can see why it is an exceptional program. The senior instructor Dennis has an art of making you feel at home and we can see that same nature displayed by his students under his guidance. Wish I was that age again. So well executed.
