Cardero's Restaurant

One of my favourite places to stop while in van and reminds me of home out in the east coast. Thank you!

We had a fantastic meal tonight at Cardero’s. The food is amazing but the experience was made perfect by our server, Kristy. She was attentive, friendly, funny…just really made this a wonderful evening. Thank you!

Exceptional all around! We ate at Cardero’s over the family day long weekend. It is a very family friendly atmosphere, the service was incredible and the food was just as good. There was an issue with billing at no fault of the restaurant and they were quick and professional to get it sorted in the following days. Can’t wait to come back!

We made a reservation for 11:45am and were given a choice of seating upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. We secured a window seat with a beautiful view of Coal Harbour, setting the tone for a great lunch.
As we were being walked to our table, we were asked if we were celebrating anything. We mentioned it was my partner’s birthday lunch with his family, and to our surprise, they brought out a complimentary dessert at the end with spoons for everyone to share — such a thoughtful and genuinely kind gesture.
I ordered the salmon burger on a gluten-free bun, and it was absolutely delicious — flavourful, fresh, and very well executed. We also ordered oysters (they only had one variety available). They were very good, though a bit on the pricey side at $4.50 per oyster.
Our server, Lotus, was fantastic — attentive, warm, and made the whole experience feel effortless.
Overall, a wonderful spot for a special occasion or a relaxed meal with a view. We’ll definitely be back to Cardero’s.

The worst experience ever — after being a loyal customer for over 35 years.

Several years ago, during what was simply an innocent misunderstanding, the manager grabbed my arm so aggressively that I went home with bruises. That alone was completely unacceptable.

More recently, I was shocked by the behavior of the waitstaff. One of them looked at me and said, “Am I too loud for you, baby?” The tone was disrespectful and inappropriate.

Is this what you consider quality service?

Good atmosphere. Went for the prime rib with friends. Extremely overpriced for what you get. $49 for some fatty meat, small portion of mash and a yorkshire pudding. For $49 I would expect some really nice meat as mentioned it was very fatty. I was still hungry after.

We got there late as there was nothing but traffic last night heading downtown Vancouver.
It was my hubbys valentine birthday and he ordered an oyster burgers but waiter said no such burgers now. At the end of the night, he came with cake and candles and a bag packed with an oyster burgers. What a wonderful gesture!!! I’m impressed. It was a busy night too.

Great place for food/service & atmosphere.

Also for business people on their own, the bar is a great experience.

We had such an amazing dining experience. Kristy was the kindest most knowledgeable server ever. We had such amazing conversations with her and she made us feel very welcome. We loved her bubbly personality and she made our date night 10x better. Great wine recommendations and great service. 11/10.

I had a great visit to Cardero's Restaurant on the waterfront in downtown Vancouver. I just had to pop in for a quick beer and enjoy some live music before heading out and enjoying a seawall walk. Beautiful window view and cozy seating. An enjoyable waterfront experience.
