Don't tell me how long this restaurant has been here ... I want to pretend it opened a week or so before I found it, otherwise I'll be filled with regret at all the lunches I might have missed! It's tucked away on a side street opposite the Mall, and it's not in my hood, and somehow I never stumbled across it till recently. And it's so good! Yummy delicious sushi, yummy delicious curry, yummy delicious macroni salad (I always order the same things, but I can vouch for them!). It's not expensive, there's very little wait, food comes out fast, and I get to practice my limited Japanese with the patient staff. The only downside is it's small with not much seating, although I've never had to wait if I'm willing to tuck myself in a corner at a counter (shelf really) to eat. I like that it has a few unusual options on the menu, it's not your cookie-cutter sushi place.

My first time here after constantly seeing lots of people walk into this place. I picked up one of the sashimi bowls and some spam musabis after a spin class nearby. It's very hearty and pretty good! The fish is fresh and it's way better than a commercialized poke bowl place. Service was super fast - only took 5 min to make my order and I was on my way. I will be ordering from here more often!

I really, really wanted to like this neighbourhood spot but their food safety practices are abysmal. The first time I tried, maybe 4 years ago, the person who took my payment went directly into making my food without washing their hands, so I cancelled the order and didn’t go back. Today I really wanted sushi so I thought I’d try again after seeing so many good reviews about the food. This time when I arrived, the chef was openly coughing on the food and sniffling. Disgusting. Do better Carp.

This place is an absolute gem I couldn’t recommend it more. That spicy tuna roll was so tasty and the fish was super fresh. We also got a few others and some nigiri and nothing was short of amazing. Best sushi in Vancouver so far. Lovely service!

Food was decent nothing special compared to restaurants around below the average…but what makes me leave this review is very bad attitude from management crew when I simply asked for print receipt he answered me: This is 21th century no receipt 🤣 Not coming anymore!
Let me tell you ladies and gentlemen something,first. This place is absolutely delicious and a hidden gem in vancouver for sure. The flavor profile in this mans dishes is a genius. When I brought my entire family to eat there they all were very impressed. There were seats there right away, food was served very quickly,the prices were awsome,the atmosphere was so cool and the workers energy was awsome. I encourage everyone to try this place and please support our local gem because I know I will and drive the distance for this PHENOMENAL food.

Decent food, small spot with ok service. It's a nice spot that serves some quick Japanese basics. I got the curry and it hit the spot and was very quick to serve, though for the price the portion was a bit small. Would come again.
