Original egg cheese tart was delicious- melts in your mouth. Creamy and light. Recommend.

Basque cakes are no longer the same as from the one I bought 3 years ago. The plastic bags package creates too much moisture. Moisture absorbers included do not help much.

(-) The store doesn’t bake their cheesecake fresh unlike other Japanese Cheesecake stores like Un*** Tet**. I got a refrigerated one so it wasn’t that fluffy.(+) I tried the original Castella tart and it was so good!!! I highly recommend it!!

The cheesecake I received was horrible.

I revisited Castello Cheesecake after about three years, and they've expanded their menu. Back then, it was just cheese and chocolate tarts. Now, they've added apple raspberry and blueberry cheese tarts, which I found quite tasty. The tart crust crumbles easily, making it a bit messy to eat.I enjoy their cheese tart when it's chilled; the cheese in cheese tart usually has a runny consistency when it's warm which I am not a fan of.Overall, I think it is worth trying.

The best cheese cake EVER! I can not pass by the store without having one. It helps They always serve it warm. The buttery crispy shell with warm gooey cream cheesy filling… The ladies behind counter knows me well by now. When they see me, they say “ one to go?”Whenever I go back to NY, I buy 6 in the box and carry them on to the plain to keep in shape. The Japanese butter milk ice cream with honeycomb is rich and creamy, cream filled croissants are very good too.

Stopped in on our stroll down Robson. The shop is nice and clean. Service is friendly and prompt. The cheesecake has very good flavor, but it felt dry in the mouth. Crust has clean flavor though more sturdy than I think needs to be.I'm I tried it. It tasted good. I don't know if I would repeat.

It’s small but cute. The cheese tarts are phenomenal! I didn’t expect them to be warm but they were a gooey goodness. Definitely exceeded expectations.
