I really enjoy the specialties offered by the chickpea food truck. Healthy but hearty, a hit with me!

Stopped for a late lunch (at Kits truck) during work hours...waited over 20mins. AND I'd left a 15% tip which I wished I could take back. If in the end if it had been fantastic and worth the wait I would have forgiven that but In the end one of the worst lunches I've had in a while. Falafel was over cooked and rock hard, chick pea fries and Hummus way over seasoned....and all for $25 for 1 person lunch! What a waste

Once I stood in front of the Chickpea truck and waited and waited in the cold for the cook to turn around and notice me. After waiting 5 mins I left. The same thing happened the 2nd time; same cook not looking for customers at the window ... I waited the same amount of time then left. After a week, I decided to give it another try. I ordered 3 things -- a side of eggplant, a side of cauliflower, and hummus. I was given the containers of food and I walked home excited. The eggplant turned out to be chickpea fries. I never ordered them. 2 days later I relayed the story to the cook and he replaced the chickpea fries with eggplant. The eggplant was like an oily sponge. The Chickpea food truck was very disappointing: the eggplant was drenched; the cauliflower had such a thick coating of something and very oily ... and I couldn't taste any garlic in the hummus. I have heard so many great reviews about this food truck. I fairly gave this food truck 3 tries.

YUM! This place is insane, the smells just walking up to the truck make you want to stop and try everything on the menu. We got the falafel pita wrap and the eggplant plate. I def recommend the plate if you want to try a variety of items. The plate included a pita, salad, hummus, chickpea fries (the best) and then the main you choose. I wish this place has more locations all over CanadaSo many options to choose from for the mains and they all tasted incredible, I especially liked that everything is vegan/vegetarian so I didnt need to worry about cross contamination. Prices are a little high but it's worth it
