Pretty solid Korean restaurant! I enjoyed the Cheesling fried chicken and the soy garlic. We also ordered the short beef ribs, which were tender and nicely seasoned, along with the stew, which was comforting.
The restaurant is quite small though so there are only a few tables available.

Damso Modern Korean Restaurant holds a special place for me. Back when I lived in Vancouver, it was a regular late-night stop after work, the kind of place that quietly becomes part of your rhythm. Returning this time was equal parts nostalgia and curiosity, wondering whether it would live up to memory. The good news is that it absolutely does.
The menu has evolved since my earlier visits, most notably with the addition of all-you-can-eat options. Tempting as that may be, we stuck with à la carte, and that decision was rewarded. The heart of Damso is still very much intact. The food carries the same depth, comfort, and balance that made it a favorite in the first place. There’s a confidence in the cooking that feels unchanged, rooted in flavor rather than trend.
Service was friendly, quick, and genuinely authentic, never rushed but always attentive. It still feels like a small, neighborhood spot, which also means space is tight and waitlists are a real thing, especially during peak hours. Come prepared for that, and you’ll be just fine.
Damso isn’t chasing novelty for novelty’s sake. It’s evolving where it makes sense while holding onto what matters most. For longtime fans, it’s reassuring to see it still has its soul. For newcomers, it remains a reliable, satisfying introduction to modern Korean comfort food in Vancouver.

Great Korean food, the Spicy Pork Bulgogi was nice, the Asahi was a beautiful pint you’d struggle to find cheaper for a full pint of that quality!

One of my go-to Korean restaurants in Vancouver! Me and my partner have been here a few times, and we always enjoy our meal. They even accommodated our request for cheese on bibimbap - blow torched too. :) It was delicious. Friendly service.

Tried the bibimnaengmyun (spicy cold noodles) and it must have been an off day, because it was pretty bad. The noodles were clumped and overcooked, the cucumbers were past their prime—almost slimy—and the sauce was an unappetizing orange with little flavor. I’ve enjoyed Damso before, but this was a real disappointment.

Stopped by for lunch as we got into the city. We had the soy pork bulgogi and the kimchi soup; lots of food and taste...and heat (finished the pitcher of water). Place was quiet and service was attentive. Thanks

This is my fourth time coming to Damso Korean and it never disappoints! The pork belly is always flavorful and perfectly cooked. I finally tried the tteokbokki rose this time—wow, SO good. Creamy, spicy, and super comforting. Also had the kimchi tofu soup, which hit the spot—warm, rich, and full of flavor. The food is consistently amazing and the vibes are always great. Definitely one of my go-to spots for Korean comfort food in dt Vancouver!

The best Korean food ever I had in Vancouver even better than what I had in Korea. I highly recommend Korean short ribs and seafood bibimbap. These are soooo good.
The staffs here are so nice and charming. I'm deeply impressed by their customer service.
