Korean beef burrito, little to no meat , no sauce, no guac, no beans, just filled with cabbage and rice. Birria taco had old beef in it very small portion, coffe tasted like water filled with ice. Drove 1 hour to go to only fully halal mexican food place in vancouver. Had high expectations but left very disappointed. Charged 40 dollars for small portion of 2 meals for 2 people. Left hungry not filling and barely enough meat in both dishes

Ordered the Korean steak tacos from El Cartel Food Truck inside the UBC food court and they were so good! The steak was flavorful, tender, and packed with sauce. The tacos were fresh, filling, and had the perfect balance of sweet and savory Korean flavors. Service was quick and friendly too. Definitely coming back to try more from the menu!

Dang man, can’t believe everyone been sleeping on this joint. I lived in the states for several years so its hard to impress me with good mexican food. These guys know how to do it 👍. Everything halal too. 10/10.

Great food, came with family and tried 5 different items on the menu and eveything was amazing!!!! The recommendations made by staff was great, because we had never been here and it was very helpful. Will def recommend and come again.

The Birria Tacos were very small portion for $15.99 plus tax. I regret coming here since the portion was so small for the price.

It tasted alright otherwise but they got to lower the price or increase the portions. This is 3 mini tacos with a soup.

I had El-Cartel’s High Protein Bowl, and it was exquisite, I had to go back for seconds. The staff were also exceptionally polite.

One of the best meals I’ve had in Vancouver—truly unforgettable.

I tried the Korean steak, and the fact that you can have it over fries, rice, or in a quesadilla makes it even better. The flavors were incredible—perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and the sauces were absolutely outstanding. They really take the whole dish to another level.

I enjoyed it so much that I couldn’t stop thinking about it afterwards. It’s one of those meals that stays with you—you just keep craving it again.

The chef was there and was incredibly kind, even offering me a refreshing hibiscus iced tea, which was such a nice touch and just as delicious.

Highly, highly recommended. This place is truly something special.
