Food was great. Owner was so friendly and great conversationalist. Definitely more relaxed service though as it took a long time to get their attention when we needed service.

Authentic Ethiopian food, family run restaurant, very friendly. Menu isn't huge, so easy to know what to order. Food was good!

Got the Fassil combo with keye wot for takeout. Was delicious, about 3 full meals despite the menu saying feeds 2. My only complaint is I forgot to ask for extra spice, so the food was not as spicy as I expected. It was delicious even without extra spice! Will be back the next time I'm in town. :)

The service is friendly and quick, even during peak hours, with no long wait times.
Food: got the 2 person combo set with Keye Wot. some of the best food I've had in Vancouver. Meat was flavorful and balances well with the slightly sour injera. Portions are on the smaller side but still fills u up.
Service: less attentive than other restaurants.
Atmosphere: homey feel. It's like a restaurant out of a home with the decorations, door, small restaurant with ~ 6-8 tables.

Have been coming for many years. It’s the best. The owner is amazing and food is always so so good. Our favourite place in the city.

Terrible service. Most of these good reviews are fake. Server laughed at us when food was too spicy. Server rolled his eyes when we asked for side plates & napkins. Server was smirking/smiling while we were struggling with the spiciness and he never brought us water. There are many other great Ethiopian places in the city that actually respect their customers that I suggest you give your hard earned money to

What a horrible experience! We will never go back. The service was so awful. The server lied directly to us regarding the spice level of the food. He didn't come by the check on us. Didn't bring us any drinks. Didn't bring us the bill. In the end the food was too spicy and we couldn't eat it. He did absolutely nothing and just stood there watching our table with a smirk on his face. We have never been in a restaurant with such blatant disregard for customer service or interest in customer retention. We will never go back and will never recommend this restaurant. I can't believe that this place is still open. If you are interested in good quality Ethiopian food with excellent service, head over to Harambe's on Commercial. Always delicious and their service is excellent. What a unfortunate situation with Fassil.
