Fratelli Authentic Italian Baking

I brought a chocolate cake 6” for my husbands birthday today,I usually buy from oh sweet day but this time I thought of giving a try to this place.My husband loves chocolate cake and I am writing a review after cutting his birthday cake and we both were utterly disappointed as the cake crumbled after cutting which means it was a stale cake and was super sweet with no chocolate taste at all,I am so disappointed and feeling so sad that he did not get the cake what he likes after paying full price.I am going to stick to oh sweet day going forward.

The service at the store has always been good, and we have been loyal customers for decades, placing countless cake and tart orders, including one as recent as Thanksgiving. At the end of October, we picked up a Black Forest cake for my husband’s birthday. When we served it to our family, we were surprised to find the middle mushy and extremely cold, almost as if the sponge had been previously frozen. My husband couldn’t cut proper slices because the cake wouldn’t hold its shape; each piece collapsed into large blobs. It was quite embarrassing, especially in front of guests who all knew the cake was from Fratelli.

Shocked, we called the store. The employee who answered apologized and assured us they do not use frozen sponge cake. She suggested that perhaps too much juice had been poured into the sponge, causing it to soften. She apologized again and offered to connect us with the manager. After a short wait, she returned to say the manager was with another customer and would get back to us later that day.

Unfortunately, we have not heard anything since. The lack of follow-up and poor customer service has left a bad taste in our mouths; and in the minds of the friends and family who witnessed the issue. After so many decades of ordering cakes and tarts from Fratelli, we are truly saddened to say that we will not be returning, as it seems customer feedback and timely responses are no longer a priority.

It’s got everything!! Family favourite bakery. And holy cannolis!!

The girl working here was so welcoming and cool and they were so kind to share their flavorful fall pumpkin tarts for crazy special low prices. It was so perfectly soft, and delicious, not too sweet 🍮👌

Bought a $70 (plus $7.50 tip = $77.50) cake from Fratelli for a birthday. The cake was absolutely disgusting!! The taste was so bad that we all had to wash it out with water right after the first (and only) bite! Will never EVER buy another cake from Fratelli. NEVER!!

We ordered an 11-inch St. Honoré cake from Fratelli Italian Bakery for a birthday, and it was absolutely perfect! The presentation was beautiful, the flavor was rich and balanced, and you could really taste the quality in every bite. The staff was friendly and helpful, and you can tell they take pride in their work. Highly recommend Fratelli for any special occasion — they never disappoint!

Recently devastatingly disappointed by another bakery I searched for a replacement and found it at Fratelli's!!!

Purchased bread, buns, Sicilian cannoli's and fruit tarts. Everything exceeded expectations!

Can I say the cannoli's were a replica to my Aunt's cannoli?!?!?!? Oh, the memories came flooding back!!!!

Fratelli's offers an inviting atmosphere with super friendly and knowledgeable staff!

Their large variety of breads, buns and pastries are beautiful, scrumptious, baked daily and never disappointing!

Sign me up as a repeat customer, please!

Best Italian bakery! Marco the owner goes above and beyond for his customers, and his pastries are simply the most authentic Italian pastries that you will ever find! He also customized an entire lemon cake for my lemon themed birthday in July and it left myself and the guests speechless. Customers dining at the restaurant where I celebrated my birthday were also asking where the cake was from! Highly recommend Fratelli's!

Terrible!!!
Ordered a birthday cake their strawberry shortcake with all white icing some piping design, they decided during the pick up date to tell me just before pick up that I was given a wrong price it was double of what was quoted!!! Wth they decided a $5 discount would solve their mistake! I have never been so disappointed and stressed looking for a birthday cake last minute because of their mistake I hope nobody goes through what I had to!!!!

Ive been meaning to grok a few canoli but almost every time, a sandwich from next door eclipses the desire... but not today!!!! Bc of serendipty and a little gumption, i decided to get a few things to share with my friends at Mums 💕💕💕. The beatiful pastries didn't disappoint!!!!! The pistachio canoli was gorgeous and perfectly balanced in terms of sweetness--- not overly sacchrine and just delicious. The whipped cream/lemon canoli was a (very very very) close second... delicious and refreshing... almost like a lemon meringue... same as above, the sweetness was perfect and great for sharing 💕 staff here were wonderful and helpful ... and you even had cold cans of Diet Coke !!!! Yayy!!!! (I think i meantioned that already 😝😝) Thank you for helping me spead a little mirth and joy today 🌈

God bless another great staple to commercial street. While I was taking a stroll that morning I smelled fresh pastries on the block. I walked in and was greeted instantly. I love their setup. Clean, fresh, straight forward, community oriented.
This buisness does functions and weddings. They also deliver! I wanted to surprise my friend with a cranberry cheese cake. It looks amazing! I scarfed down my eclair before I even noticed I forgot to take a pic of it LOL. Great little place, love it. 🥰
