Your neighborhood old school Chinese dimsum restaurant. Everytime I visit Vancouver, this is a must-go place for me. Go early or there will be a pretty long line.
we had fresh seafood dim sum with pea-tops and fat noodles in soya sauce with spices and a green tea flour crisp with sesame and sweetened black bean for dessert. excellent service and reasonable price.
I like the egg rolls and dumplings.

Golden Ocean Seafood Restaurant is an old-fashioned Cantonese-style morning tea shop that features the traditional push cart method for offering freshly baked dim sum. The food generally tastes good and is served on time, though some recent reviews mention that flavors can be lacking, especially for vegetarian dishes. The restaurant can be noisy and crowded, with an average per capita cost of around $40. Reservations are not always necessary, particularly on holidays, and paid parking on the street is convenient, though parking can be limited during meal times. The enthusiastic and friendly bosses contribute to its popularity in the local community, but diners should be prepared to wait even with a reservation. Service has been described as not very attentive, with servers frequently offering plates of food. While some dishes, like the barbecued pork puff pastry, received praise, others, such as the pork feet with ginger and red vinegar, did not meet expectations. The beef tendon is noted for its generous portion size. Recently, the restaurant has undergone renovations, including new chairs and enhanced lighting, while still maintaining its traditional decor. Dim sum on the weekend is exceedingly popular, and the experience of seeing food presented on carts and trays adds to the authenticity. Overall, Golden Ocean maintains its charm as a typical dim sum place, with fresh food and authentic tastes, but some improvements could enhance the dining experience.
