I really want to give this a 4 or 4.5 but I’m giving them a 5 because the potential is definitely there - and I would like to encourage them in that journey! The service was attentive, friendly and polite, but when asked direct questions, the answers were cryptic possibly cheeky but nonetheless unclear. It is already a bit awkward to grab the attention of a busy server, and to be left with non-answers was a bit frustrating. The food was tasty and inventive. We had their tasting menu and each dish had a balance of so many flavours. But I guess that’s sort of my complaint, it was like some dishes trying to accomplish too much that each dish sort of tasting the same. All dynamic in flavour but it was one pow after another. Possibly not a bad thing for many people! Interior was very cool!!! Even the outside patio was very nice. We sat a the bar and fridge door would open and close in bright cool color that strained my eyes after being in a dark room. Broadly speaking what a fun place for a date night, but the restaurant has a few details it could iron out at its price point.

The service was the best. The staffs were very nice and introduced us their cocktails and dishes so we know more about them. I love Breakfast of God cocktail! It’s very refreshing and I would love to order it again. Not only the drinks but the food also great. Walk-in is welcome but might need to wait a bit. We waited for 1 hour but everything here is worth waiting :) will come back for sure!

Update 11/6/2025: Good Thief is a fun, exciting place for cocktails that sometimes gets overshadowed by other cocktail bars and mainstays like the Watson or Keefer bar. Its very high-concept, almost to a fault -- menu is amazing, but would also love some more straightforward cocktail options. Approachabity here concept/price means that some time has passed since the last time i tried coming here. The lotus root chips and snacks are a nice, elevated touch. My Julians Bel (5.5/5) was savoury and delicious and a great cheese-infused cocktail that i had 2 of. The 6in Yellow was good, too, (4/5) it had a nice balance of flavours. I felt bad i didnt catch the bartender's name as he was very nice and personable ✨️

5 ⭐ for the cocktails (food was ok, some delicate ingredients, like the oyster or the whelk, get overpowered by the sauces or other ingredients for instance). The cocktail with the bee and the one with the laughing cow were so memorable! The bartender was very professional and skilled. Would definitely come back for the drinks.
