Getting food on Granville Island can actually be tough sometimes… there are just too many options.
I originally was not gonna try Gourmet Wok due to the reviews, however I decided to see for myself and it was a great experience!
Amazing food with great flavour and colour, and it tasted very fresh!
Now one thing I will mention is the portion size for myself was decent, but not amazing, however you do have to take in account that the rent for a shop like this and a under $12 meal in Granville island is not the easiest to achieve.
Best part is the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get.
If you’re looking for something affordable and really good while you’re there, I’d highly recommend checking them out.

They were extremely rude and very racist. If anyone other than themselves tried to buy something, they would try to overcharge them. They even tried to charge my friend, who is Asian, five dollars more. Their behavior was very disrespectful, and the food was terrible

Wish I read the reviews before purchasing. Probably some of the worst Chinese food I’ve had. Service isn’t friendly. Meat is very rubbery and difficult to chew, and as if it’s been sitting out for days. Portion sizes are very small as well. Save your money go elsewhere!

I saw this place in the market wanted to give it try while visiting. It was not the best, we tried the lemon chicken and noodles meal along with the curry chicken and rice. I wouldn't recommend or eat there again. It wasn't good enough.

It took the two girls working yesterday morning nearly 5 mins to look up from their phones and notice a customer and they still didn’t even acknowledge us.The one girl just went and stood next to the cash register. My son was so excited to get his usual. We ordered the fried rice and it was not good. Definitely not fresh. Will never spend a dime there again.

The food is good, but the service was terrible. The waitress with glasses gave us the worst attention I’ve ever experienced. She didn’t even look at us, just threw the food on the table and left the box open. When it was time to pay, she completely ignored us. I used to like this place before, but after this experience I don’t think I’ll be coming back. Definitely not recommended don’t go!

I’ve been to here several times. But today it was totally disaster. I took Lemon Chicken with noodles. When I opened the box, there were literally just three broken pieces of chicken. I brought it back right away and showed it to the staff, but their response was basically, “So what?” I didn’t even eat it and just returned it. The person who took my order was also very unfriendly and seemed like they didn’t even want to sell the food.

We complained about the portion and not once did the employee talk she just slapped some food in one of our combos. Just one of the three got a tad bit more. Will not purchase from here again. Ordered a 2 item combo. The girl serving was on her phone and completely disengaged from anything happening at the counter. Had to get her attention. The portions have gotten smaller and smaller compared to previous times. I won’t be ordering here again unfortunately.
