It is a different kind of sushi restaurant. It was good but I felt as though the description of what I was ordering lacking. So I ended up with something very different than what I was hoping to enjoy.

Local gem...good tasty food...have a good tasty selection of aburi sushi...their salads are very refreshing tasting...almost everything is hood...cannot beaf this local gem...the girls are great there...always attentive and great service..highly recommend...gets packed pretty fast...and not a big place either...

I wanted to update a review. Went back a few times the last year..and must say it's still good but not as good you can say.. paid $18 for a roll and it was 5 small peices. Everything was just ok..nothing wow factor...for what they charge..there are plenty to choose from.. but service still very attentive..

The reviews enticed me to try this place this evening, and while the presentation is fine, I gotta say, the flavours were just not it. To start, the wasabi was awful, there was zero flavour to it and that ruined the entire experience for me right off the bat. If someone had bothered to check on us at all during our meal, I would have mentioned it, but they didn't. The mango roll had a weird blob of 'Wasabi sauce'(?!) on top but the flavours were pure peanut butter. It was odd, and not good. The salmon oshi & truffle avocado oshi were both fine, but for a place known for this style of sushi, I expected much better.

After we finished our meal, we sat for about 15-20 minutes with the empty platter & dishes in front of us while 4 servers stood literally 2 feet from us and didn't offer to take the plates away, or ask how our meal was. (The restaurant was nearly empty at this point) We had to call one over to ask for the bill.

There are much better places in Vancouver to get sushi, would not go back here.

My favorite spot; the food is consistently good, and the service is excellent. I wish it were a bit larger to accommodate more people, but it’s very charming inside with friendly staff.

Took a spicy salmon roll and spicy tuna roll. This was my first visit to the restaurant. The portions were rather low, and it’d have been fine if the taste was good. Unfortunately, both the salmon and tuna had a stench. Moreover, the mayo didn’t mix well with the spicy sauce. I really wish the food was better.

Salmon and eggplant oshi were very delicious, but the OMG roll we ordered was HUGE, I mean, we didn’t even finish 1/5 of it, and I personally don’t like that much of creamy sauce on top of it.

Every oshi is excellent. Unagi oshi and the truffle avocado are by far the best I've had so far. The rolls are quality and delicious

The service at this restaurant is not bad – the staff are attentive and polite, making sure you're well taken care of throughout your meal. The sushi here is really good, especially if you're a fan of fresh ingredients and traditional preparation. Each piece is crafted with care, and the fish is always fresh. The rolls are flavorful, and the presentation is appealing.
However, I did notice that the oshi sushi is a bit oily for my taste. While the flavors are still there, the texture can feel a bit heavy compared to the other items on the menu. It would be great if they could tone down the oiliness to keep the balance of flavors just right.
That said, overall, it's still a solid spot for sushi lovers, with a wide variety of options and quality ingredients. I'd definitely come back to try more of their menu items, especially since everything else was quite enjoyable. If you're in the area and craving sushi, it's worth a visit.
