I work downtown and I’ve passed Greenhorn Cafe probably a few hundred times and today I finally decided to go inside and check it out. Not a coffee person but I do love pastries and what not.
The staff were very kind, and very respectful.
The Cafe was very clean and had a great layout.

My co-worker got a quiche and absolutely loved it, and said it melted in his mouth. He said it was worth the stop and he wants to go again.
I tried the Salted Chocolate Chip cookie and it was honestly not what I expected…I have tried a lot of cookies from other cafe’s and I must say these were honestly the best I have ever had.

I highly recommend this place, and I will 100% be telling co-workers, and friends about it.
Amazing!!!

I really love Greenhorn Cafe ~ they kept me coffee-fueled when I first moved into the neighbourhood and didn’t have my kitchen stuff yet. It’s very much a meat (specifically bacon)-inspired spot, but they still have a few vegan items on the menu (Chickpea Tuna and Guac Toast), plus plant-based milks for their delish coffee.

Desserts deserve a mention: there’s a morning-lover Peanut Butter Cookie thing I devour so fast I never get photos, and a Peanut Butter Cup that makes me not miss Reese’s at all. Like, zero.

I did get a bit of grief with my Service Animal, though ~ more of a passive-aggressive, judgey vibe (seating me near the entrance or asking me to stay out of certain areas) rather than a direct confrontation. Still, it was enough to tarnish my experiences there a little. Oh well, can't win em all!

Today was my second visit and the quality of food was perfect as previous time. Their Benedicts are delicious and very good option for breakfast or brunch

Highly disappointed in the service. Waited for over 20 minutes at the table, people who came after me got their food before they even took my order - mind you I was visibly the only person of color and by myself at the time so make of that what you will. Had to ask for the waiter multiple times just to order the food.

Food was subpar and overpriced, muffins in the Benedict hard as a rock. Not coming back here.

Greenhorn Café is truly a hidden gem tucked away in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Despite its modest size, it delivers big on quality and flavour.

The Eggs Benedict was outstanding— House-made biscuits topped with fresh ingredients, a perfectly creamy hollandaise sauce, and nicely poached egg made this dish a highlight.

The Eggs in Purgatory was equally impressive, with well-balanced ingredients, rich flavour, and just the right level of mild spiciness.

Coffee was decent, but the waffle was just alright and a bit dry for my personal taste.

Parking in the area is extremely limited, so be prepared to park a bit farther away or take transit. The café itself is small and consistently busy, even on weekdays, which speaks to its popularity. Overall, it’s well worth the visit for a delicious and satisfying brunch experience.

I can’t believe it, I literally live right here and it was my first time I came here. It is by far the best breakfast place. The mushroom Benedict was above and beyond. Definitely here will be one of my weekly routines.

Amazing place. Came from Toronto and searched a few subreddits to find several people recommending this place for food / coffee. The coffee is one of the best I've had in Canada, you can taste how smooth it is! The mocha and the Vietnamese coffee were absolutely wonderful. The ham benedict and bacon benedict were top notch. They were served on the best biscuits I've had in a while! Service was great as well and friendly people. Would come back!

My favorite place for a latte and brunch meal. Normally Vancouver prices are way too much for what you get but this place gives you a plate full of love and consideration for flavors. It’s unique and beautiful. Worth the price but I wish they were open longer.

The quiche is overhyped and extreme mediocre. However the eggs Benedict, well worth the price.

Very sweet neighbourhood cafe in the heart of West End. Would highly recommend the benny’s and coffee is one of the best in the city. Very reasonable prices as well. Love this place!!
