The best buns in the city! I love their seasonal toppings, the buns are huge and so delicious. Their drinks, and coffees are amazing too. The cafe is clean and the staff is so friendly. Highly recommend the cinnamon Buns here

I will happily drive 25 minutes for the cinnamon buns at Grounds for Coffee. They are the best cinnamon buns I have ever had in my life and I say that with my whole chest. I always get a half dozen because they freeze perfectly and future me deserves that kind of joy.
What makes this place even better is the staff. They are so kind and genuinely lovely every time. Last week I stopped in for my usual order and decided to treat myself to a seasonal eggnog latte. It came with the most beautiful latte art and I was honestly more upset about ruining the art than dropping the latte itself. The barista really put time and care into it. When I went back inside to buy another, the team just offered to make me a fresh one and did it with so much warmth. I was having a chaotic day and their kindness grounded me in the best way.
Also, the fact that so many of their treats are vegan makes me love them even more. Great food and even better people.
Grounds for Coffee is worth every minute of the drive. Forever my go to spot.

I always enjoy the cinnamon buns at Grounds for Coffee. I usually go to the Point Grey location, where the staff is fairly pleasant. However, I had a bad experience at the Commercial Drive one. There was a line-up and I got to thebpoint where there were two people ahead of me. A guy ooened a second till and ignored the two of us and waved the tall guy behind me over instead. I was pretty annoyed because I work in customer service and I don't know how someone doesn't get the basics of helping the next customer. I guess we weren't tall enough for him to bother trying to getvour attention so he did the most convenient thing. It was incredibly rude.

We popped in quickly for a quick treat the London Fog and the cinnamon bun was so delicious. The cinnamon bun was so warm and the icing was just the perfect amount. I highly recommend stopping in if you want a cozy place to have a coffee date or do some work or just sit in there by yourself stuff was super amazing and very friendly

Cinnamon rolls are extremely sweet, frosting as well. The roll itself is very well made, perfect dough. If they offered a roll that wasn’t drenched in syrup I’d stop by again. Coffee was good, hot chocolate too. Staff is kind.

Cinnamon buns and coffee are both pretty good. They used to give you a free cinnamon roll on your birthday but they stopped that this year. Cinnamon rolls seem a bit expensive normally.
