These lil pancake balls are dangerously good. Everything is good but classic red bean and ang butter are my favorite.

We stumbled upon this cute Korean walnut cake shop in Chinatown. The walnut cakes are made fresh to order. I bought the red bean, white bean and matcha filled cakes. They were warm, delicious and really worth the try.

We were walking by and decided to pop into this place because we’re a sucker for desserts and this place was so good! We got the vanilla custard walnut cake balls and they were so good. I wish we got the matcha ones too because the quality of the vanilla ones were so good, it gives me confidence that the matcha ones would also have a good matcha flavour.

Small storefront. Every batch is made to order, and it takes 7 minutes (timed exactly by the clerk). The cake balls look like walnuts, have a walnut inside, and a choice of filling. Overall, these cake balls remind me of bungeoppangs crossed with cream puffs. Portion size is perfect for sampling different flavours.

A simple and delicious little dessert! I really like the red bean paste in it. I must have made it myself! My daughter loves chocolate-filled ones. I’ll try the matcha flavor next time, I heard it’s delicious too!

My first time trying these walnut cakes and they were delicious! The shop owner was very friendly, the store was clean, and the food was made when ordered so it came out piping hot! Only a couple seats available inside. Pricing is very reasonable - only $1.25 each or $6 for 6. You can also mix and match flavours!

Traditional hodu walnut cake, just like the ones from the Korean highway rest stops! Made to order so it's fresh and warm! We tried the red bean, chocolate and custard. All are dope. Just try them.

Korean walnut cakes - traditional and delicious.The owner here is super nice and friendly. I was surprised to see so many options and so options for mix and match + quantity as well. When you enter - it smells like a simple sweet Asian pastry shop.Red bean paste vs pastry red bean difference for those who wonder - the paste is a lot more smooth and uniformed into that paste meanwhile the pastry one is more chunky with bean remnants that you can find. It all comes down to preference of texture. You can also say the paste is sweeter than the pastry one (imo at least).Very reasonable pricing and everything comes out piping hot. From the red bean ones and the outer walnut cake (there are pieces of walnut you will find) , it is not overly sweet - just a hint of sweetness. There is also more content/filling than cake (which is preferred).Will come back given the chance to! Ordered 15 and took a few days to finish (reheating in the microwave works very well too but you will lose that crispy outer crunch). If you have a toaster oven, this would reheat well in that too.
