Hy's Steakhouse & Cocktail Bar

I didn't realize switching an old fashioned from rye to bourbon would cost $70 for 1 cocktail. This was by far the most overpriced experience of the night. The drink tasted nothing special so I don't understand why it was such a big difference. Everything else was great, food, service, especially Markus our server.

Andrew did such a great job and Karen was so friendly! We went for Valentine's Day and had such a great time! First time here but definitely will be back!

Went here for the first time with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved it! The food and service was amazing. Our server Marcus made our experience a 10/10!! Will definitely be back!

The food quality was decent and fairly standard, but the service was excellent and made the whole experience much better. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome, especially dining with our family. Because of the great service and overall pleasant atmosphere, I'm giving this place five stars.

Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Unfortunately we were sat in the smaller room with a large party which was very overwhelming and loud. There was not enough space to be able to do tableside service but they tried to make it work. The food was a little disappointing for the price.

It was my birthday and I always pick my favourite steakhouse in Vancouver. Great meal and top notch service. Love that cheese toast 😂😂

Service and cheese toast was incredible. Steak was well cooked but could've been salted or seasoned better.

Our server Chris was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The food quality was incredible and came out in a timely manner. We were seated in the dining room just before dinner service so we had the whole place to ourselves for a good 30 minutes. For a new parents first date out it was extremely romantic and exactly what we wanted. Thank you so much!!

Just an early celebration dinner for my brother's upcoming 80th birthday. Hy's was the right choice. The Cheese Toast was a treat followed by appetizers, salads and finally steaks was perfect. No need for dessert! Service was attentive and discrete.

It was our anniversary and Michael was our server for the evening. He was great! The food was great! We always have an amazing time at Hy's.

Had dinner here tonight, started with the cheese toast, simple but really good. The ceaser salad is made table side, it was excellent. Then had the beef wellington, it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. They also have a great selection of wine. We has Chris as our waiter, he was attentive, funny, and very knowledgeable.

Went in for a solo night and it was EXACTLY what I needed. Point blank. It was a classic, cozy, dim lighting, and instantly feels like a treat. I ordered a mezcal sour (my go-to) and it was perfection…froth all over my lips and everything LOL!! You know it’s good when you take a delicious sip and instead of got milk, it’s got froth? HA love! Food was incredible too. Steak cooked just the way I like it, and the whole plate was just so satisfying. But honestly, the service is what made the night! Blown away by the outgoing, genuinely kind, and they checked in a lot without it ever feeling annoying. They made eating alone feel easy and actually really enjoyable. Nailed it Hy’s!!

Bone in rib eye was pretty good highlight of the dining experience.

Cheese toast was overrated could have made it at home.

We were a group of 7 and every single one of us had an upset stomach after our meals not sure if will come back after that experience.
