Later tater bowl is it

Sumit Dutta

Summary:Dined in once in March 2024 (with my wife and child), on a Saturday afternoon. I think it’s average considering the price and wait time, and might not visit again. I would prefer if the prices and serving sizes of dishes were halved. I found multiple mice droppings in their bathroom, and notified the staff. I hope there is no hygiene issue.Details:Food: 3 out 5 stars. Ordered the later tater bowl and Mexican street corn frittata. Overall, I thought the taste was average. In the later tater bowl - I liked the pulled pork , it was succulent and tender. I would have preferred less taters and more pulled pork.Drinks: 3 out of 5 stars. Ordered lavender latte, gin and jam cocktail. I thought the coffee was flat and could not taste or smell any lavender. I liked the gin and jam, I would liked if they gave some jam options, and some jam in a spoon in the drink (I found this in a cocktail bar Bittersweet in Raleigh, NC).Service: 4 out of 5 stars. I found the staff to be kind, friendly, and attentive.Wait time: We waited 40 mins in a queue on the street to be seated. I don’t think it’s worth it for me.Parking: busy area. Street parking and parking lots available. Fee in parking lots were 50% cheaper than street parking.Ambiance: I liked the decor. They have chairs, booths, and bar seating options.Website: 2 out of 5 stars. I wish their website and menu was easier to find and navigate.Vegetarian options: Multiple options available, non-vegetarian dishes could also be customized to be vegetarianDietary restrictions: Vegan options availableKid-friendliness: High chairs available

Overall was good. Beware, they charge $1.75 each for hot water with lemon…. I wasn’t aware but paid it anyways. Usually it’s free at other restaurants so I didn’t ask, they didn’t inform me either. Turns out it’s not free.On the other hand, Food is your average brunch food. Services was well. Line up was 30-40 minutes as usual.3.5 stars

The portions here are huge, so if you don't eat a lot, I'd recommend that two people share one dish. The cafe has a rustic farmhouse style, making you feel like you're dining at a farmhouse. The staff are friendly. However, they operate for only a few hours, closing at 3pm, I believe.

I keep coming back for their French toasts ? and would recommend ordering one to share between two people!

Plate size single fluffy pancake, piled high with tasty and tender pulled pork. And a single french toast with maple butter on the side. Delicious and filling. Could not finish the pulled pork pancake at the cafe, but it will be consumed later! Excellent service provided by the staff, and coffee definitely is kept bottomless!

It's a busy brunch place, even on the weekdays. We didn't wait too long for a table of three. The food is very good. You don't really see many places put green onion on scramble eggs.

Had to go check this place out after all the hype, and seeing the long queues outside I thought it must be amazing food. The service is great, we didn't have to wait too long to get a table, and our server was really helpful. The place itself is really nice, but the food was average. I had poached eggs with hollandaise, hash browns, chicken sausage, and extra corn bread. It was all just okay, apart from the chicken sausage, which was excellent. The eggs were a bit rubbery and the hash was fried grated potatoes without much flavour. The corn bread was really sweet and the homemade hollandaise sauce was really vinegary and tasted like it had chilli or something in it. I love brunch and was excited to go here, but this experience was disappointing.

This cafe… It is definitely my jam! Jam Cafe was a delicious experience! The service was top notch! They always filled my cup with coffee and water! But the food… oh my goodness! I dream about the food. I had the Old Town Breakfast and it was savoury and the sausage, eggs and hashbrowns were made to perfection! But The French Toast… It was the best french toast I have ever had, it was a magical experience! Sweet, smooth yet not too overbearing, the sugar was crystallized and it was perfect!!
