Brunch at Joe Fortes was a treat. The oysters were fresh and briny, the fish & chips crispy and flavourful, and the cocktails perfectly mixed. Service was attentive without hovering, adding to the relaxed, upscale feel. Prices were on the higher end, but the quality made it worth it. I'll definitely be back.
Server was very nice Drinks were good Caesar salad was awesome Lobster was awesome The NY Striploin was very tuff. Couldn't finish it. Not fair value for a $70 steak. Was not a Prime type cut at all.
Amazing service, food and ambiance. Great cocktail options and well prepared seafood - prawns, scallops, and oysters! Very generous portions.
Went on happy hour and felt very rushed to get us so they could seat new people to maximize profits
We've been here now several times and each time the food has been consistently excellent, servers are outstanding and ambience is really nice and fun with live piano. Will be visiting again when we visit Vancouver!
I tried the seafood platter during the Happy Hour, and I wasn't disappointed! I'm not one for raw fish; however, after speaking to my server, I decided to go for it as most of the items were steamed or marinated, like ceviche. There was the tuna crudo, meaning raw tuna, which was the only part that wasn't to my taste. The platter comes with 3 different, tasty sauces that added to the experience. My advice is to walk on the wild side and go for it!
Best calamari in town! I am never disappointed by the food here. And Heidi was a great server, we did not lack for anything.
Went with friends and everything was fantastic. The experience was first time for some and all raved about how good the food was. Service was very good, and server helped us with our choices when we went too sure. Recommendations were delicious! Definitely a return planned.
Perfect place to enjoy good food in a really cool restaurant. The waiters really go out of their way to make sure everything is to satisfaction and the quality of the food is really good. Can't wait for the upstairs patio to reopen.
Great food and service. However, it was very loud, and hard to have a conversation, we probably will not return the next time we are in Vancouver.

Every time I'm in Vancouver this is my go to restaurant. Brings back warm and fuzzy memories of many years. Love the piano.
Our reservations were at 12 and dishes did not come out until 1:10- 1:15 - Server was good - just don't know what the holdup was. We have been there before at a busier time and food was out relatively quickly and we got bread. This time no bread not sure if that has changed.
Always wanted to try this place, came for happy hour on my birthday. Ordered the seafood platter, lobster rolls, calamari and oyster rockefeller (prefer them done au gratin with panko instead of being smothered in hollandaise sauce with a bit too much spinach that we couldn't taste the oyster). Had reservation and was seated in a corner against the wall. Tables are tight together (enough space to get in and out) and small that having the food, plates, drinks that it felt very cramped and not enjoyable. Finished with a martini each, I had a Vesper $23 and spouse had a belvedere martini $32 (was a bit shocked on the price as it was not listed on menu). Serve was good and was surprised with a creme brulee dessert for my birthday which was absolutely delicious and one of the best we've ever tasted.
Great service as always. While it is on the higher price point, good quality & great tasting dishes.
Joe Fortes has been around for a long time. The staff know how to treat their clients. They are friendly professional and make you feel so welcomed. The food is delicious, professionally cooked, professionally presented. It's hard to find a restaurant like this nowadays. Well worth it! 🙏
