We previously had great experiences here but this time was disappointing. We called beforehand to ensure they could accomodate one of our guests dietary requirements due to illness, the lady on the phone checked with management and reassured us they could, just to mention it to the server when we get there. However when placing the order, our server instantly refused, repeated "well I don't know who you were talking to because we can't" in a condescending tone. I had to get up and ask him again if there was any way they could accomodate (for a very simple request) and low and behold, they were now able to do it. Dealing with this miscommunication on their behalf was stressful, upset our guest and dampened our experience as the only reason we came here is they reassured us they could accomodate as they did previously. The bread was hard as a rock, the food was lukewarm and steak was rough and chewy. Server apologized and was nice in the end however they have lost once loyal customers due to this experience.

food was okay, for the price we expected a better kitchen, but it was not bad. The thing that left us with a bad taste was the rude server Adam. He just threw to us the credit card terminal, not even a single word, after paying, while I was trying to take the card out from the machine, Adam tried to pull it out of my hands. I asked if there was a problem or why was he being rude, he just smirked and said he was trying to help (?). The worst part was that after bringing up the situation to the manager Eddie he just said “oh yeah he explained to me already what happened but I wasn’t there so there is nothing i can do, my apologies” and that was it. Save yourself the bad experience of being treated in a rude way and go eat somewhere else. Give your money to another restaurant that treats you in a minimum decent way at least. Disappointed and of course never going back.

had a pop up midday visit to have a lunch/dinner. Was hungry so i ordered the bone in rib steak, assuming it would be their best. I received a piece of break that i needed an axe to cut. Chewy, no flavor and very tough to cut. the only good thing about my dish was vegetables. I made a remark to the server, he smiled about it. Didn't expect anything, but not worth $99 whatsoever. Last and final visit to this place.Service was great, he was very knowledgeable and friendly, except i had to wait a longer time to get the machine to pay (Felt ignored). I did pay the expected 20% for the tip but sort of out of force and obligation that we HAVE to pay.Atmosphere was amazing. great building and great ambiance. No photos unfortunately.

Very disappointed. I feel this restaurant has become a favorite with tourists. Locals should never go. We were seated up in the rooftop and when I asked about Happy Hour, I was snootily told that this area is not available for Happy Hour. The service is definitely lacking . We went for Happy Hour and caught the tail end and were told that we would receive Happy hour prices. Well true enough, when the bill came, we were billed full price and sadly we didn't catch it. We will never come back again.

My friends had her friends from London and UK visit her. I wanted to give them a taste of a good seafood restaurant in Vancouver. Since this restaurant was rated 4.7 stars I chose this place to eat. All 7 of us were happy of what we ordered and we will definitely come back here. We loved the atmosphere and the vibes here but most of all we loved the foods ?

Steak is okay. It’s very chewy and too much ligaments. The oysters were great though. Alberta Beef is much better.

On Sunny Sunday of April 14, 2024 we had lunch at Joe Fortes. We were looking forward to have a good food and fun there, but unfortunately we were deeply disappointed with both. The food, BLT Benedict arrived not fresh, potato was dry, bacon was very hard, the atmosphere was noisy, crowded, the pianist played out of the rhythm, extremely loud. We didn't feel we are at the fine dining class restaurant . We ate half of the food and took the rest to the street people.. We will not recommend this place and we are not coming back there

Wonderful dinner. We started with a selection of fresh oysters on the half shell. My wife enjoyed the seafood linguine, and I had the NY strip. Generous portions of seafood in the linguine, the shrimp, and scallops were huge. My steak was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth flavourful. We finished the meal with coffee and Pavlova for dessert.Good value for the cost.
