Recommended dishes: Beef Sot BAP, Seafood Soon Dubu, Beach Jjim Braised Napa Cabbage
We came on a Saturday at 5:15 as we had reservations. We ordered the BBQ eel sot bap ($21.95) and the abalone sot bap ($22.95). They each come with a seaweed soup and a soft poached egg. The side dishes are also available for refill.
The side dishes were okay. Nothing to write home about.
The sot baps were both really delicious. We preferred the abalone one over the BBQ eel one. The abalone was nice and soft not chewy at all. It went well with the egg and the fragrance of the rice. The unagi wasn't too sweet. I liked the crispiness on the bottom of the rice.
Overall a satisfying meal. I would come back to try the kalbi

We are really happy this cute Korean restaurant opened up in the neighbourhood. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. We tried the sol bat and soon dubu and they are both great. They come with complimentary korean side dishes that go well with the meal. I would highly recommend trying this place for an authentic Korean comfort meal.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our experience at Keumsan! We've been here like 4-5 times every time we're back to Vancouver from Seattle. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Especially the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic, high-quality Korean cuisine!

Restaurantji Recommends
I had the steak tartare, which was very good, much better than the one I used to eat back in France. The rice bowl with eel was also delicious. Overall, the meal was perfect, and the restaurant was very clean and visually appealing. The service was also excellent; the staff were very attentive to all the customers' needs.

Reservation recommended.
We got the Beef Soon Dubu (spicy) and the Baby Cuttlefish Soon Dubu (non-spicy). The spicy broth was surprisingly not too spicy for a Korean restaurant, so don't be afraid to try it! Everything tasted good and was actually filling. This would be the perfect meal for a cold and rainy day.

the eel sot bap was delish and super buttery! i especially liked the seaweed soup it came with it; the broth was nice and clear tasting. also the soondubu is comforting for the cold weather!
Keumsan is where fine dining elements meet conventional Korean cuisine. Their beef tartare was purposely crafted so that it melts in your mouth… and their Budaejigae alone gave me 3 pleasant surprises - I will let you discover yourself… My goodness🥹
