Hi, it's rated appropiate to what it was!.
Long time customer even before Endoson current owner.
One of the earlier Japanese owned and still run restaurants in town first opened early 80s.
Mishiko was the manager on my first visit early 80s.
Very Japanese!!
Endo the current owner always kept that spirit.
A tatami room style WITH the freshist sashimi carved perfect.
The tempura was wonderfull.
A flash of the past for kits as I feel it no more as down there today, as u moved sign gone.
If temperary closed look forward to know.
Be well ENDO!!!

Disappointed by the service, was rudely told there was no space for us, with no follow up.

The signage on the door says “Please wait to be seated.” We waited, as the hostess/server was nowhere to be found (this is not the issue in itself, we understand they’re busy). But as soon as she came out, she just stood staring at us, stapling receipts and only when another group entered the door, told them (still ignoring us) that there were “no tables.” It is what it is, but just say so as soon as you see us? Why glare at us? How are we supposed to know the restaurant is closed when the door is open?

Amazing food, I've only been there twice, but have such vivid memories of the place, the food, the service and the atmosphere. If you are in Vancouver, this is a really great place to experience!

Actually authentic Japanese. Chef and owner is this old super sweet Japanese couple. Service can be slow when it’s just the two of them, and prices are not “cheap” but expect quality, lots of care when it comes to the food and a quiet homely atmosphere. A hole in the wall so come and be prepared to chill. Finally a place that has actual tamago and not that rubbery neon stuff that most places serve. And the miso soup you can actually taste the homemade dashi. This is the real stuff.

We waited around 5 min, but no staff care, it's not busy time.

We ordered food from here to eat at the beach and we ended up waiting a while until our food was ready. Also, I looked at my receipt after the fact and I come to find out that I got overcharged an extra roll ($16)! The food tasted average but the location is convenient, right by the beach.

A long timer in Kits. This restaurant is an oasis, small, quiet and comfortable. The sushi is still great! And you have your choice of a traditional Tatami room or one with a table you can put your feet under! And the hosts are lovely!
