The signage on the door says “Please wait to be seated.” We waited, as the hostess/server was nowhere to be found (this is not the issue in itself, we understand they’re busy). But as soon as she came out, she just stood staring at us, stapling receipts and only when another group entered the door, told them (still ignoring us) that there were “no tables.” It is what it is, but just say so as soon as you see us? Why glare at us? How are we supposed to know the restaurant...
Amazing food, I've only been there twice, but have such vivid memories of the place, the food, the service and the atmosphere. If you are in Vancouver, this is a really great place to experience!

One of the earlier Japanese owned and still run restaurants in town first opened early 80s.
Mishiko was the manager on my first visit early 80s.
Very Japanese!!
Endo the current owner always kept that spirit.
A tatami room style WITH the freshist sashimi carved perfect.
The tempura was wonderfull.
