This was a big surprise, the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered pork belly (so crispy!), papaya salad and drunken noodles. For drinks an IPA and a ginger tea (which I wouldn't recommend because it is $7 for a can).

The place is minimalist, very clean, not really busy at 8:30 pm. The service is as good as other places. I don't know why this place is not more popular!

Kin Kao on Commercial Drive is a fantastic spot for Thai food in Vancouver. It’s one of those places where you can taste the thoughtfulness and authenticity in every dish they serve.

I ordered the Tom Yum Soup, and it was good. The prawns were excellent, and the broth was solid - clean, fresh, and felt healthy.

My friends each enjoyed their dishes, but we all felt it was a buck or two overpriced with one exception. A member of our group ordered a green curry with Tofu dish, and she said it was the best version of the dish she ever had. I had a taste and it was better than mine.
