Order take out on Feb 20/2025. Was missing one item. Unacceptable and lack of attention to detail.

The portions are pretty good for the price. The food overall was not bad but the flavours were not really to my taste (e.g. miso soup was sweet). The sashimi is sliced very thick.

I think their raw fish in general did not taste that great/fresh. The salmon was a bit fishy. The tuna had a mushy texture. The sockeye salmon was pretty good but had a watery taste.

The tempura was pretty good.

Sushi tasted great, but fortunately, I spotted the piece of plastic before eating. It's worth checking your food!

I decided to try this sushi place after ordering a delivery through Uber a couple of times and the difference in the quality of the food between delivery and dining in is shocking. The same dish ordered for delivery is a much higher quality (which reflects the higher price when ordered online) than the one served at the restaurant.
The place has a big menu displayed outside with a lunch deal that is not automatically offered to you unless you specifically ask for the lunch menu. I decided to order the same rolls that I normally do from home (spicy salmon, california and tuna and cream cheese) and I was surprise to notice that the lunch deal offered 8 of each roll (compared to the 5 offered for delivery).
Once the order arrives, it is only 5 rolls of each instead of the 8 advertised, at which point I call the server and ask for the menu again to make sure I had read it properly. The server brings the menu back telling me that the one we ordered from is the old one (before I even said anything), and now they have changed the quantity (maybe something that should be clarified before ordering and not only if the client finds out??).
On top of that, the fish was absolutely nothing comparable to the one I've had before at home, definitely not fresh and the tuna tasted very fishy.
The service from that moment was basically non existant, I had to call the server multiple times for her to refill the water, despite the place being almost empty.
At the end of the service we decide to pay cash and the server is brave enough to ask if we want any change back (around 25% of the bill) and she has the courage to look at us weirdly when we said yes. My boyfriend is kind enough and used to the canadian society to the point where he decided to leave some spare coins as a tip regardless, if I were by myself things would have been much different (including leaving the place as soon as the order that is served to me does not reflect what is written on the menu). I was lucky enough to be raised in a country where tipping is considered an extra for an exceptional service and not an obligation regardless of the circumstances and therefore no, I don't feel obligated to pay a percentage of your salary when you are doing a horrendous job.
Long story short: if you want to order from this place, just make sure it is a delivery or you will be highly disappointed. As for me, my money will go to some other places that deserve it better from now on.

Although staff were friendly, food was prepared in under 10 minutes and requests were honoured (gf soy sauce, no ginger), it wasn't tasty. Pick up order: negi hamachi roll had a good amount of fish but the green onions were piled on one side so the roll was unbalanced and very pungent. The worst was that the rice for the entire order was very mushy and broken, tobiko roll was mostly rice and ika nigiri had stale/off taste.

Dine in and pick up, once for each.

Food is great for the price point. I have tried a few sushi dishes and they most tasted great. In particular salmon oshi was very good (8 or 10 pieces unlike some reported 6?). If you are craving for katsu, you will not be disappointed as well. I would however want to avoid hamachi next time as the dish was not my style. Also Udong was not as tasty as other dishes- the soup base lacked flavor a bit and covered with saltiness to my taste.

The restaurant offers a pleasant and inviting vibe, which is surprisingly refreshing given the contrasting atmosphere outside. The servers were all kind and welcoming.

If you are considering pick up, a nice 10% discount is available though I have no idea when this perk is going to end. You might want to call ahead.

The taste was good
I got fried California rolls and aburi sushi special roll
California tasted good but so different from usual deep fried California roll, I enjoyed it . Special oshi sushi tasted good as well it was just too small only 6 pieces which I think it’s not fair because this roll is already double or triple the price of basic normal sushi rolls which is fair but at least it can stay 8 like every where else . California rolls were small too, 8 pieces but suchis from this place are much smaller than other fancy or non fancy places putting the Taste aside. Udon was ok too more veggies than beef in it.
Thank you for the food

Sexy sockeye salmon roll 8/10 not my fave of the ones ordered. Didn’t prefer the crab mixed in
Salmon aburi 7/10 portion of the salmon was not proportionate to price of the piece
Tuna sashimi 8/10 colour was strange however the taste was good.
Also ordered tempura shrimp with veg
Small local place near my hotel (the Wall)
Plenty of seating
Staff and servers were kind and helpful when asked about menu items
Food overall 8/10
Fair pricing
Non fussy menu items
Might return next time I’m in town.

The food here is amazing! The service is also very good. The only reason for the 3 stars is because of the music - they pump out the techno music so loud. Not sure if it’s had a change of ownership, but it used to be so cozy and relaxing. Now it’s so loud and unbearable, we avoid going here because it’s not a relaxing enjoyable experience.

Conveniently located in downtown Vancouver, the place is cozy and has really great aburri (seared) sushi and Japanese beers (not Sapporo). Service is great and very attentive!
