They do have vegan options and I’m sure this was just a new person error. But we ordered a strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and double checked that it’d be vegan. Apparently, the syrup is just sugar water and flavoring so no honey! Anyways, we double checked with the person at the front however we got served a matcha latte with dairy cream on top! Not to mention, the person who put the dairy cream got a little bit of an attitude when questioned.
However, despite that, they have really good banana bread.
Again, that slip up is probably just due to that person being new. Also explains why they were acting brand new 🥸

I experienced the worst and most racist behavior from the staff here, especially the manager. When I left the café, I started crying. I have never been treated with such insult, mistreatment, and racism in Canada before. Because of the location, I had visited this café several times, but now I realize that the location and appearance of a place don’t matter at all when the people there are racist and have no spirit or nature of kindness and cooperation. That place becomes the worst and most frightening place. Today was the worst experience I have had in Canada in the past several years.

Coffee was just OK. A week-day at Starbucks. Banana bread was good. Not too sweet, good texture. The place is charming. Service is as you would expect (not a compliment).
I had the basic beach sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon, a chocolate chip sea salt cookie and a London fog. The breakfast sandwich was very good, packed with juicy bacon which was not overcooked. The cookie had a bit too much sea salt on top and the London fog was pretty basic. There is a covered patio and lots of space for bikes which I loved.
