Tried this place on Granville Island, they serve caneles and donuts. We got the chocolate stuffed donut and a fruit canele, and enjoyed the canele more than the donut. Will be back to try more caneles in the future!

Really good lemon curd canole. Canole base is relatively sweet, so don’t choose sweet topping.

Bakery in the middle of the Granville Public market that specializes in variety of flavours of canales. They also give out samples to try! Most of added flavours are too sweet for me, so I like the originals the most.

Wanted to see what all the fuss was about. We have never tried Canele before. Soft on the inside crispy and caramel like on the out. Tasted a little burnt, not sure if that is how it is supposed to be. The apple Canele was better than the black sesame. The passion fruit donut was very good.

The best canelles in the city. I can’t make a trip to Granville island without stopping for a treat(or many)!I honestly dream of these canelles- and I went to culinary school and I’ve had them in france- these are truly a delight! The owner is also so kind and helpful!

Some of the best desserts in Vancouver, period. If you've never had canelés, you have to try these--and if you have had them, La Bise's are better! Stunningly delicious and great service! A must-visit if you're in Granville Island.

We tried their Canelé today for the first time, and they are absolutely amazing! They have lots of unique and interesting flavours, but we went with the plain one and the chocolate hazelnut. Staff were also friendly and well mannered. Can’t wait to go back!

2023.09?From TaiwanIn the middle of the marketSeeing such a big stall of KeliluIt's a pity, the taste is not to my liking~The outer shell is not crisp enough and the inside is too soft, not the Q kind. But Kelilu is that everyone likes different thingsWhen you go abroad, it’s still worth a try if you see it~~

Amazing canneles in the Granville Market! I'm a big cannele lover, and these ones are some of the best! Not only were they serving up some delicious samples of salted caramel canneles when we were there, but as my partner and I were hmm-ing over which flavors to get, I asked if we had to buy the savory comte (cheese) and spicy chorizo as a full six pack, and the people kindly let us sample one to help our decision. The yuzu cannele was probably my favorite, but we also ended up buying the seasonal eggnog, the 6 pack of comte and chorizo (which were SO good when warmed up a little in an air fryer). I'd definitely come back, as the prices were fair, flavors and textures were delicious, and service was very friendly.

Best canelé I’ve had to date. Crispy on the outside - so soft on the inside. I ended up ordering a dozen because they were so good. Family loved them as well. Definitely worth returning for. ?

One of the Asian staff here with a pony tail is really rude and made the entire purchase really unpleasant. She was correcting my accent when I told her which flavours I want. It was so obvious she felt she was superior than the customers. Well, lots of the customers at Granville island are travellers from all over the world. Why is she here to work if she looks down on the travellers’ English. Should give your staff better training. And she forgot to close the box properly and put a sticker on it. The other staff had to remind her to do it.she made the entire purchase awful. RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL

Such a cute vibe at this booth! The caneles are baked with care and absolutely delicious… the traditional is my fave but there are lots of flavors to choose from. Service was pleasant and attentive too!

La Bise - Salted Caramel Canele ($4.25) 9/10Tbh this is the only canele I’ve tried in Vancouver, but I do think they make a good canele. Texture was beautiful with crunchy caramelised exterior and nice custardy centre. Taste wise you could tell both the distinct vanilla and rum flavour. I went with the salted caramel flavour, which apparently won a competition, but the caramel made the canele a tad too sweet for me. Next time I’ll be interested in trying the original or dark cherry flavour.

I got the apple and dark chocolate. It was my first time trying out a canal and it met my expectations. It was sweet and decadent. They both had such depth and richness, I’m glad I was able to have my first experience at la bise. Thanks!
