The food was pretty bad and undercooked, also lacking flavour. The employee wasn't responding to requests for condiments either.
At first glance you wouldn't expect this place to have such great food, but it's extremely authentic, fresh and tastes great! I would definitely recommend. Also, the lady working there was lovely! I will be back.
We had 3 types of tamales (green, corn and rajas) and 2 tacos de carnitas. All of it was great! I missed tamales and I was craving some for so long and they were great!!!
They were sold out of most things during lunch rush. I ordered chicken flautas, and they weren't even warm =( Toppings were missing as well, only got cheese...? Very small portion for $15-16.
Overpriced for what you get here. Tacos were cold.
The most authentic tamales that I’ve found in Canada after coming from Mexico, the tortas are delicious as well and always end up eating more than I should.
Disappointing tacos :( The picadillo was unexciting but fine, the chicharron was pretty flavourless (but also somehow too spicy in a couple spots) and mostly just shredded cabbage and fat. Both of us are still hungry enough to eat a proper meal after two underfilled tacos apiece, definitely not worth paying for dinner when it feels like an appetizer and tastes like many a leftover casserole from my childhood
This place is awesome, everything is fresh and tasty, prices are super cheap. I got the tacos and personally I'd recommend the ground beef, that one was the clear winner for me but the Tinga and Pork Belly were no slouches either. Tamales are also good, again I'd recommend the ground beef but it was all good and whatever you're craving will come through on quality. The staff also get bonus points for being exceedingly nice to all the annoying drunks who couldn't read a menu and kept asking for items that weren't on it.
My (mexican) husband just went there to grab some tacos. He ordered with hot sauce and loved the sauce so much, unfortunately I was not able to try them but must be great.
Omg good job guys! We tried the pork belly torta and 3 different flavours of tamales n they were super tasty! Just like Mexico! All the success in this business!!???

I am so glad this place has opened. Vancouver lacks Latin street food. Finally Vancouver has affordable Latino street food in a great location. It was so TASTY! The chicharron torta was so good. Reminds me of home.I am definitely coming back
I want to give the benefit of the doubt that it may have been an off experience. I ordered 3 different types of Taco's and I had a few things to note. The meat itself and the flavour was quite good, nice and juicy. I'd say I was a bit let down with the amount of the tacos though. Felt like about 80% of the filling was cabbage, not super well chopped and also freezing cold. The sauces involved were also freezing cold so it ended up just countering the warmth of the meat filling and giving me a below room temperature taco. I appreciate and respect following Food Safe procedures but it was a bit overwhelming and off putting. It's very rare that I struggle to finish a taco. That said, I still want to come back and maybe try something different.
I tried 4 times (to not review out of the first try) pork belly tacos are probably the worst tacos I’ve tried,The salsa is not too bad, but for what I’m concerned is that the tacos appear to be cabbage, sour cream and cheese topped with almost nothing of pork belly on a super oily tortilla. Tamales are dry and small. the chicha torta is not to bad when it comes with scrambled eggs.I understand it’s hard to replicate Mexican seasoning but come on, this has nothing to do with a tasty flavour you are expecting from a restaurant. It’s so disappointing. And the costumer service is awful and it feels like the girl doesn’t like to be there, she doesn’t wear a face mask or a net on the head or a cap.Definitely last time trying to give this place a chance.
Super tasty casual Mexican food! Love the vegetarian tamales and the tostadas.
Loved the food here, very authentic and reminded me of when I was in Mexico. Portions are large and prices are fair. The owner is very friendly and insightful, I recommend checking out La Loteria if you’re downtown.
