The food was delicious, but the service from the waiter, Daniel, was poor. I don't usually write reviews, and having worked in a restaurant, I know how difficult customer service is. But his way of answering us was poor when we asked him questions. He made the bill however he wanted, and he treated the table next to us, who were apparently his friends, well. He doesn't make us want to go back.

I really appreciated the kind and attentive service—our server was genuinely warm, which made the experience feel welcoming. I also respect the effort and creativity that went into the dish I tried (the Chiltepin), though I personally found the flavor profile a bit too sour for my taste, which overpowered the more delicate seafood notes.
At $29, I was hoping for a more filling portion or bolder balance of flavors, as the thin slices of fish and octopus left me still hungry. The ambiance felt more like a casual diner, with two different sources of loud music (one near the counter, another from a TV), which made it a bit hard to chat with my friend.
That said, I only tried one dish, so I’m open to the idea that other menu items might offer a different experience. I really value thoughtful cooking and good service, and while the service here was excellent, I didn’t feel the dish I had offered strong value for the price.

La Playita has amazing food, but the service is consistently disappointing. Every time I visit, the waitresses take way too long to take orders, and the wait for the food is always extremely slow. It’s frustrating because the food is absolutely worth it, but the service really needs improvement. If they could speed things up, this place would be perfect!

Delicious food, seafood was fresh- the aguachile with fruit was my favourite, nice balance of acidity, sweetness and salt. baja fish tacos were excellent in terms of seasoning. Would totally go back. Churros were great too.

I was a huuuuge fan. I ordered sushi “Mar y Tierra” and a ceviche “La Chula”. The only thing I can say it’s disappointing. The sushi was so salty and oily I could barely eat two pieces and the ceviche was just off. I expect for the prices that they have to at least taste right. In person I never have an issue but I guess they don’t care about deliveries.
