My favourite bubble tea place!
Their teas are flavourful and fresh. What’s unique about them is that they offer lactose free milk for their milk teas as well as a range of toppings. Their pearls are always fresh and their oolong and jasmine tea jellies are delicious too - I can’t find them anywhere else! Their staff are always nice.

Don’t give receipt, asked three times, just getting ignored , that girl starts throwing stuff before I even order, looks like that I owe her 100,000 dollar or what. What’s the problem?

This place is disappointing. Worst customer service ever. I am baffled by this kind of behaviour.

I completely agree with Nina here. How can you refuse to omit an ingredient that someone has a dietary restricstions on? It would be different if it was a premade mixture. But when you are physically adding an ingredient in there, how can you refuse to accommodate the customer's request.

May be close the place down if you can't be flexible and transparent about your ingredients.

I visited Lattea on Robson Street for the first time and ordered a peach green tea (half sugar). At first, the service seemed fine—the staff at the counter was polite and answered my questions. However, when I watched the drink being made, I noticed a yellow liquid being added. I assumed it was peach syrup or honey, but when I took a sip, I realized it was lemon juice. Unfortunately, I cannot tolerate lemon as it upsets my stomach.

When I went back to ask, the staff confirmed that lemon is part of the recipe. I politely requested another drink without lemon (I even offered to pay for a new one), but was told they could not modify recipes under any circumstance. I found this policy very surprising, as most bubble tea shops are flexible with such small adjustments—especially since this was not about adding extra ingredients, only leaving something out.

What concerned me more is that the menu did not list lemon as an ingredient, which could be problematic for customers with allergies or sensitivities. When I asked to speak with a manager, the staff said no manager was available, and though she tried calling, there was no response. I was told once again that nothing could be changed and was even encouraged to leave a review if I was unhappy.

Here’s something worth pointing out: while the staff repeated that the recipe could not be changed, they still asked me how much sugar and ice I wanted in my drink. Ice may be optional, but sugar is definitely part of the base recipe—yet that is considered adjustable. So why is sugar flexible, but lemon cannot be removed? That inconsistency makes the rule feel less about “following the recipe” and more about refusing to accommodate.

I don’t know if this is a standalone store or part of a franchise, but I hope management or ownership reconsiders this policy. Word of mouth and social media are the strongest forms of advertising, and my experience unfortunately was not a positive one. I had walked in wanting to try somewhere new and hopefully leave a good review, especially with several other bubble tea shops nearby that I’ve enjoyed. Instead, I left disappointed, with my drink in the garbage.

At the end of the day, refusing such a small, reasonable request shows a lack of flexibility and care for customers. Needless to say, nobody from my family or friend circle will be visiting this store, and I will be sharing this experience with them. In a city full of great bubble tea shops, this kind of attitude is enough to make me take my business elsewhere.

First visit! I tried the Mango Pomelo Sago Slush, it's probably the best mango drink I’ve ever had (and I’ve tried many). I also had the Cane Passion Fruit Green Tea, which was very refreshing. I can’t wait to try more drinks from Lattea, though it’ll be hard not to re-order these options from the menu!

Edit: Second visit! Had the Brown Sugar Latte with Cheese Foam. Was very good, nice and milky, and the cheese foam was exceptional.

I have been here a few times now and I love their brown sugar pearl latte! It has a bit of a different flavour than most places, and I really like it.

However, today I came pretty close to opening and the brown sugar pearls weren't cooked yet so I decided to order the strawberry milk slush instead and it was pretty good but it wasn't blended enough so as I was finishing it I kept having lots of little chunks of ice.

Overall though I really enjoy Lattea though! I'll be coming back in the future

I got the passion fruit green tea with half coconut jelly half pearls. It was good and refreshing, regular ice and sweetness. Wait was not too long, although the space is a bit small to be waiting in if there are multiple groups.

Really good! I tried one of the specials, hojicha oolong milk tea and added oolong tea jelly. The combination of hojicha and oolong worked so well and the tea itself was strong and fragrant. I also really liked the oolong jelly, which obviously complimented the tea nicely.
The barista who took my order was very nice. I appreciated that they were willing to make my drink in the cup I brought.
Takeout only. No seating or tables in the store except for a few benches where you can sit while waiting for your order. No washroom.

either it's watery or got that bold tea punch; the soy oolong tea with pearls was thankfully the latter, just a tad watery but mostly creamy, fragrant, nutty, and lightly sweet. pearls are smaller here, but still chewy and toasty. but the jasmine milk tea and classic milk tea samples? so so watery [not for me], so yeah, skip the basics, and take a chance with their alternative milk menu!

One of my favorite places to get tea! The rotating menu of seasonal flavours keeps it exciting - very true to flavors, super clean, friendly and quick service. A great spot on Robson street, definitely recommend. They run specials every now and then, buy 1 get 1, special promo rates; so watch out for those!

I’m so happy that this place exists, probably the best spot for bbt on robson (was also one of the best when it was yi feng). the ingredients just seem fresher than a lot of places

The pomelo slush was so refreshing and not overly sweet (at 70% sugar)

Also has non dairy milk and soy milk options :)
