Please update the opening time on Google. It shows 11 AM, but when I arrived at 11:30 AM after a 25-minute drive, the place was closed. I’ve heard great reviews about the food, though.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience! The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared — every bite was delicious. Navreet went above and beyond with exceptional customer service, showing genuine care, warmth, and professionalism. Their friendly attitude and attention to detail made the whole experience feel special. Highly recommend both the food and Navreet’s outstanding service!

I ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and it was really good. They could probably revamp the interiors of the restaurant a little bit. The girl who was serving was also nice and did her job perfectly.

Walked in, and sat dowm. Server did not bring glasses or water but served this couple who walked in 5 minutes after we were seated. She even took their order ahead of ours. Had to ask for water, snd she brought 2 glasses and no water pitcher. Finally when she took our order and when I ordered a dish the server said it is not available. Just walked out. Will not go there again.

Was one of the best South Indian biriyani served in Vancouver.. But of late lost the charm, today we bought Goat biriyani and tasted very bad, it was just a mix of yellow rice and meat which was not even blended properly...

MI got off early from work and decided to try something new around the Punjabi market area. Madras spice had been open for years. It wasn’t too busy that day. This was my chance to finally try it, early evening.

Decor is very nice. The food spoke for itself wow... I got the lamb vindaloo, spicy and it was so comforting with my basmati rice and naan. Also got the hot and sour soup and loved the spices. Then I had the veggie dosa and wow...

Honestly I was very surprised. The coconut dip was my favourite. All in all, it was a fantastic dinner. Absolutely delicious, I really recommend these dishes I had. It was memorable and I would definitely come back for more!

Good South Indian food. We had the idli, masala dosa and onion tomato chili uttapam. The food was fresh and tasty, with good crispiness on the dosa. Idli needed more sourness in the fermentation, I recommend getting idlis in the morning after overnight fermentation.

Uttapa was nicely crisped with good quad of onion. We got the medium spice and it was just right.

Did not have a good experience. The staff was not professional, the place wasn’t clean. The food had good reviews so went there to try thali but they didn’t have that either bcoz they stopped serving at 4 and we were there at 4:30pm so was quite disappointing overall.

Absolutely loved the food at Madras Spice — every dish was full of rich flavor and felt truly authentic. But what made the experience even better was the amazing Navreet
working there. She was kind, attentive, and handled everything with such grace and professionalism. You can tell she genuinely cares about the customers and the quality of service. She’s doing an incredible job and really makes the place special. Will definitely be coming back!

Superbad restaurant in terms of food, service and cleanliness.
The plates of previous customers in another table were there until we left. (Mind you there were no customers when we walked in.)
The staff put the biryani pot on one of our plate. The plate we were eating from!
The biryani tasted bland with boiled chicken, all other food was TASTELESS. Definitely not recommended. They need to change the chef or they’d be losing more customers day by day.

Everything we ordered tasted Bad. Definitely not south Indian. Dosa, vada, uthappam, chicken 65 all of them were bad. Nothing Madras about it. Avoid at all cost. Only the wait staff was friendly

Me and my family were quite disappointed with our recent visit to Madras Spice. Unfortunately, every dish we were served lacked flavor—it all tasted quite bland, which was unexpected from a restaurant with such a name. When we shared our feedback, the server politely apologized and said she would inform the chef, but we never received any response, which felt dismissive. One surprising moment was when the server placed a new dish directly onto the plate my brother was still using, which felt quite inappropriate. We also sat for over 30 minutes while the table next to us remained cluttered with dirty plates and leftover food, raising concerns about cleanliness. The bread served to us appeared to be frozen, store-bought, and undercooked. Also, just adding coriander on top doesn’t make food flavorful—the taste needs to come from the dish itself. If the owner or chef happens to read this, we genuinely hope you take this feedback seriously and consider making improvements. We believe constructive feedback can help enhance future dining experiences.
