Came in late afternoon on a rainy Sunday in recommendation from a friend back home. Friend had also said I had to try the ham grenades but they aren't on the brunch menu. We ordered bunch, gf was easily accommodated and after enquiring about grenades and finding they weren't even a Sunday things at all the chef still managed to cobble some together for us and they were definitely worth the trip. Service was good, coffee was good, food was stellar!

Went for a birthday drink with a group of close friends. Atmosphere was distasteful and the all-white, all-male servers (this is the heart of Chinatown) were all wearing 'tropical' shirts. Don't get it. The various different servers were all rude and condescending to our table, with a few off comments to two girlfriends that we were left trying to decipher. It took three of their staff to order a piece of cake, when the kitchen staff finally stepped in and resolved it (he seemed like the only sane one). Unabashed entitled rudeness at every step of the way, including ordering, paying (adding up the bill presented a big issue as well), and even asking for more water was responded to with rudeness. If you're considering going here, there are lots of other much better bars nearby!

Ate here thinking better of the bad reviews but I really do have to agree. The quality of food just doesn't match the pricing. And the way the owner replies to some people's concerns is really offputting. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere...

Easily the worst bar I've ever been to in Vancouver. As others have said below, their overpriced food is mediocre. Servers we rude and unavailable at best, but as night went on their tone became misogynistic and condescending. I will certainly not be returning. Stay away from this place!

First time here and last time here. It was around 7.30pm on Friday night. Three of us arrived looking for a table for 6. There were no tables open at the front of the restaurant. We were told that we either sit at the bar or wait for an open table. We decided to hang tight until our other friends arrived. (The back and the front were separated by a curtain). I saw some opened tables at the back of the restaurant on my way to the washroom. So we asked about the open booths and table at the back of the restaurant, and the man, who seemed to run the place, told us they were reserved. Fair enough.15 minutes later, our other friends arrived. Oddly enough, the tables that were "reserved" are now open and we were seated at the tables. They don't have a huge menu, but there are some interesting choices. I tried the fried chicken waffles and the brussel sprouts. The food took LONG, almost an hour after ordering. There were only two staff in the kitchen, there wasn't really a point in rushing them coz... They seemed to be working as fast as they can. It was almost 9pm by the time we got our food and I was starving. Brussel sprouts ($11) - the veggie was good. Nicely roasted, but the sauce at the bottom was just... Bland and out of place. It was like a thick floury cream sauce with no other distict flavors. Chicken waffles ($22) - first bite of the chicken, moist even though it was white meat (I prefer dark meat), nicely battered. Waffles were hugely disappointing... It was not ONE of the worst waffles I've had in my life. I was THE worst. The waffles were ROCK SOLID like a brick. I could not stab it with my life and had to pick it up with my fingers. The yellow sauce ( maybe for the waffles? ) Was... Plain. It was basically thicken chicken stock. But because I was too hungry and the waffles were too hard to bite through, I had to use it for the waffles.... I don't appreciate the fact that the man had to tell a lie to not seat us. He could've simply told me that he couldnt seat us unless all parties are here, which is pretty common in busy restaurants. For that price, I expect a lot more effort in the food. The chicken was at best churches Chicken quality which I can get for $7 with a coupon. The waffles are worth mentioning because of how bad it was and the sauces were just bland.

Cool restaurant.. thought I had photos of the brunch , guess not. Anyways eat the fried chicken on waffles and a side of home fries with cheesy goodness.

I like this place. It's different and has a very main street type vibe. Staff are friendly in an old school tavern kind of way. Very much a bar/pub feel. Interesting décor! Would recommend for drinks/apppies (although we didn't try the food). A perfect kind of place to go on a rainy night/day and hideaway.

The restaurant itself has a pretty cool, laid back atmosphere, and the best part of my visit was the friendly server. I found the food and drinks very expensive, however, and pretty underwhelming. If I'm coming to Chinatown for casual food in a casual atmosphere, I'm not expecting a $40 bill for boring flavors. I'd considering trying again at happy hour but at the moment I don't recommend.

The Old Fashion was nice on ice and Chef Jonas killed the appetizers. Shrimp&Gritz and the Parm Dip were delicious. It's a tiny little space with chill servers and atmosphere. Cool little hidden Gem in the heart of Chinatown.

I take my family to this lovely spot often! This is the best place to grab a bite. I visit this spot many times. The meals are great, the crew is courteous and the rates are affordable. I like meeting in this restaurant for a rich dinner.

I had my birthday here for 25+ people and they were more than accommodating. I 150% recommend this place. They called to confirm numbers and made me feel welcome. Great food, great atmosphere and great hospitality.

All I've heard about this place was hoe great it is. I def did not have that same experience. I went in So excited for happy hour food and cocktails. First thing the server told me was they weren't serving happy hour food at all. Ok cool I'll move to the drinks. I really want to have a refreshing wine as it was a muggy day. We asked the server what kind of wine they carried. We were told " I can't tell you that." We then asked ok can we know if it's a Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris? We were told "no, you'll just have to order it and figure it out" kind of floored by this answer. We just don't like Chardonnay and wanted to confirm that's not what we were getting.. ordered the bubbles as it seemed to be the safest option.. the bubbles were so flat you couldn't even see one bubble. On to the food we were allowed to order 5 mins before happy hour started other wise we could be left hungry. We got the home fries.. they we not good. Tasted as if the potatoes were cooked earlier then just reheated in a microwave with some onion heavy salsa thrown on top. I did not get to have the same apparently amazing experience others have had and I def won't be recommending or coming back. Which is a shame as I live so close.
