It's my fave place for pok buns (as a do). This time, I also ordered some Chinese donuts.

ice lemon tea was tasty, the tea flavor was exactly the right strength, and not too sweet.
Had the white sauce spaghetti, portion was huge and tasted so good... kids couldn't stop eating!

Felt nostalgic for some Hong Kong style french toast and Maxim’s never fails to deliver! 🌟 The taste brought back childhood memories. The staff are also kind, and the service is fast. If you ever find yourself in the area, this is THE spot to go if you’re craving for some classic HK-style dishes!
Amazing food, authentic atmosphere, very friendly service

Came here for the nostalgia, but was shocked to see the baked pork chop on rice priced at $22! Ordered just two dishes, and the bill came to $44 before tip. This used to be a budget-friendly brunch spot in the Chinatown neighborhood where I grew up, but sadly, the taste isn’t what it used to be, and the prices have gone way up. For this price, I’d rather eat somewhere else.

I went on a Sunday, perhaps the regular chef had the day off. Food was really bad. The fried hor-fun had so much MSG in it my wife almost fainted afterwards. The baked fish spaghetti was burnt. The saving grace was the waitress who was friendly and attentive.

Maxim’s holds a special place in the hearts of those who grew up in the 80s and 90s. Man… those childhood memories. To start, you'll want to try the hot pineapple oil, pronounced “Yit Ball Law Yao.” This delightful sweet bun paired with a thin layer of melty butter perfectly enhances the rich, milky flavour. Order a cup of “Ying Yang,” a comforting blend of coffee and Ceylon tea that complements the experience beautifully. For a truly nostalgic meal, the stir-fried rice noodle or the preserved vegetable with shredded pork noodle are timeless favorites that continue to bring joy to me and my partner.

Food is just okay. Cheap taste at a low price.
The funny thing is that they only get cash. Will they really pay taxes properly?

Legit Hong Kong Style cafe, this place is one of my go-to’s for Chinese food in Chinatown. 😋. Love their daily meal sets and HK style milk tea. All their stir fries are good, their chef knows how to work the wok.
