O star for service. Cakes are amazing i wish they can be good at customer service with everyone. Lady serving me was not happy to see me i am asking her some questions she is just pointing at things while answering not even looking. Very disrespectful.

I have to provide a negative review for the way the lady spoke while picking up the call for enquiring about ordering a birthday cake today for my daughter. The lady who picked up wasn’t ready to answer to any questions and kept on saying ok bye , ok bye , ok bye in between the call when the query wasn’t fully answered and she hung up the call in between. Terrible.

Lots of cute and yummy cakes to pick from.
This is just my personal experience. But for some reason each time that I have visited here, the cakes are more freshly made than the Victoria drive location.
Parking use to be free for many year until recently. It’s paid street parking now.

We wanted to buy a castella cake. A lady told us that we couldn’t pay by card unless we spent at least $10, so we picked out some other items to reach that amount. In the end, though, another lady at the counter still didn’t let us pay by card and said it was cash only. We left everything on the counter and walked out.

i love this maxim’s location!! the food is cheap and yummy. it smells so good inside. it’s always very clean. quick service! there is signage in regards to only cash, or debit card on purchases over $10 (one or two people getting lunch with no takeaway would not spend more than $10)

I love visiting Maxim's for my favourite red bean buns. There are many flavors and items to choose from. All are made fresh in store. Today the red bean buns I purchased were warm! So we're the red bean sesame buns.
Remember to bring cash or your debit card as no credit cards are accepted.
The prices are reasonable and this supports trying new flavours and combinations.

Great place to get some sweet or savory snacks or dessert. My favorites are the curry beef buns, BBQ pork buns, egg tarts and coconut buns. Lots more to choose from though, they have a really great selection and wide variety. Buy 6 items or more and no tax! Cash or debit only.

The blackforest cake had virtually no cherries - only a few pickled ones on top. Do no buy any from them. Fake!

Yesterday, December 21, 2024, I bought a cream roll from Maxim Cake Bakery on Fraser Street, Vancouver. The cream roll gave me full of surprise when it was filled with small pieces of egg shell and it was no way to be enjoyed!!! I am not going to shop at any branch of the Maxim Cake Bakery in Vancouver anymore. A frustrated customer in Vancouver BC, Canada.
