Exploring Calgary, we came across Meat & Bread and decided to try the Feature sandwich & the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were incredible, but it was the amazing staff that made it experience a great one. Friendly, super accommodating & gave us extra pickles & sauces to try. Business and service like this is what makes people enjoy traveling & trying new things! Will not be forgetting this place & will be back!!

Meat & Bread never let's me down. Their meatball sandwich is INSANE. The ratio of meatball to bread is off the charts. Seriously, I couldn't believe how stacked the sandwich was when it arrived.

Amazing bread, flavour profiles and more than enough to fill you up for one meal.

If you're ordering takeaway, put your order in early because they do sell out of sandwiches as the day goes on!

Got the meatball sandwich and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had, highly recommend!

Great porchetta sandwich! It's really tender and the cracklings give it some nice textural contrast. The mustard dip is a must, but try a few others while you're there.

That was some good meat and good bread

Porchetta sandwich (their flagship) was the driest things ever, and the pork was overcooked, dry, chalky, and mulchy. Bread was good.

Great atmosphere, service is nice. Food is below average. I know they want to be simplistic in their menu, but the bread was on harder side, now you don’t want to put cheese or any moist stuff in it to normalize the course texture of bread then use slightly softer bread or add some more sauces.

I made the mistake of getting the kale Caesar salad with chicken today thinking it would be a nice light lunch and it was awful. One of the worst salads I’ve ever had honestly. It was EXTREMELY greasy/oily.. so much that it made me feel sick/nauseous. I don’t know how a salad can even be like that. There was a pool of grease in the container when I dumped the salad out, it was so gross. Such a waste of money :(

i usually get the porchetta, but this time they were all out for the day so my friend and i tried the chicken sandwich, and it was equally as delicious! while we were sitting enjoying our food, they took a fresh batch of bread out of the oven and the whole place smelled so good!

if you like sandwiches and quick lunch breaks while youre downtown, this is the place. atmosphere and decor are really unique in a slightly grungy but still cozy and inviting sorta way. the staff are super friendly, and i will keep bringing my friends :)

this location is across the street from a park and the windows are a fun spot to just observe the busy crosswalks nearby. i used to come here on my lunch breaks from VFS by myself, and its still a good experience
