My favorite bakery in the world. I hope they never go out of business. They have the best mango cake I’ve ever had and I’ve been around the world. Prices are amazing and my friends all did a blind taste test with their pineapple bun vs kam do bakery (famous) and they all chose Michele. Trust. Get the mango cake slice, sponge cake, toast, egg tarts, peach tart, and pineapple bun. Honestly you can’t go wrong with anything.

When we lived in Vancouver, this place was like our family's cake shop. Their mango cake, especially, is unlike anything else - so good that we choose it for birthdays almost every time. The sponge is incredibly soft, and cream is rich and delicious. Rhie bread is also very good and surprisingly affordable compared to other bakeries. Every time we visit Vancouver, going to Kerrisdale always includes a stop here.

Very rude staff. Don't go to this bakery. During heavy rain, I left my umbrella in the entryway bucket to avoid dripping on their floors. The staff took it and refused to return it to me, claiming they wanted to save it for someone else. Despite my request, they refused to check security footage to prove my ownership. I had to leave without my umbrella. When I was finally able to pick it up days later, the staff didn't even offer an apology for their mistake. The service here is incredibly dismissive and unprofessional—I highly recommend shopping elsewhere. There is pretty good bakery like St Germaine on 41st and in SAVEONFOOD. BTW, I am level 9 Google local guide.

Truly miss the days when the old owner was there. The qualiy of the pastry is no comparison to the past. I don't know where they had their boxes for putting the pastries were made, these boxes smell aweful and toxic, and the smell gets on the pastries we bought yesterday. Not going back.
