I gave him multiple chances to resolve it, but he has ignored all communication and taken no responsibility. Because of this, I’m in the process of filing a labor complaint against him. This is not someone you can trust or should do business with. Very dishonest and unprofessional.

Terrific resto in Point Grey. Food was tasty with very large portions. My arugula salad was masssive and complimentary bread with olive oil was excellent. Our pasta dishes were wonderful and authentic. This is a 10/10 place and we will be back.

I was able to secure a 7:30pm reso on a Friday night at 6pm of the same night. That’s the first red flag. The restaurant was 1/3 full when we arrived. Red flag #2. When ordering: 2 out of 5 dishes we tried to order was not available. Also no draft beer and finally landed on the third choice bottled beer. Red flag #3. The comp bread was really good and came with 2 dips. The capreses salad was pretty flat and calamari was a bit soggy but passable. The portion size was huge! When the mains came up, the waitress tried to take our half finished starters away which we thought was really strange. The risotto was drier than the Sahara Desert. Our third main the meat lasagna was served separately. But the waitress told us we were given the largest piece because it came out late. That was really nice. We appreciated it. It indeed was a huge piece that we ate it for lunch and dinner the next day. We don’t waste food in our house. Well… The middle of the lasagna turned out to be ice cold. I waited for the waitress to check on our table to tell her. But she never came. I had to get up from the table and tell her. Pappardelle boscaiola was probably best out of the three. and it was just OK. Like I said we had tons of leftovers. I also overheard from the table behind us that their food (probably the lasagna) was cold too.
The restaurant has a nice decor and vibe. The waitress was a lovely young lady, but she was so mousy and we couldn’t hear her that well half of the time. Call me stereotyping, but Italian culture is known to be loud and super lively. She’s the opposite of that.
We were not comp’d for the cold lasagna. But for 2 starters and 3 pastas, the price was $137+tip. So not an expensive meal. We didn’t leave super satisfied. And I’m done with Italian food for awhile 😩.

Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us pick the perfect wine to pair with our meal. The atmosphere is cozy yet upscale, with soft lighting and a charming patio area. We were in town for the Dragon boat Festival and went to this hidden gem. The atmosphere was great, the service was great and the food was amazing! If we were from Vancouver we would frequent this restaurant often! The waitress was very attentive and knew the menu inside and out. The manager came to our table to greet us and the chef meet us as we left. If I could give 10 stars I would.
