The kids' hot chocolate at 2 bucks is a steal, and my London Fog was quite good.
The foccaia bread was really solid as well. I also got the picture loaf, but I found it to dense, and the crust to now be as crunchy as I expected based upon the description. I might just not like this type of bread as much, but it it the reason I didn't give this place 5 stars.
If you have a child, I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Inaccurate opening hours. Bakery closed at 3 PM on Sunday instead of the listed 4 PM time. Bought a dozen of cookies that were slightly stale and overpriced. Coffee was good and freshly prepared.

I have dealt with Jas at Mix The Bakery for months now in catering meetings here at UBC. He is the consummate professional. And the baked goods are delicious. The pumpkin bread is a personal favorite.

I ordered mushroom soup and chicken sandwich set and both were very delicious.There are a variety of breads and the bread factory is constantly running behind the cafe. The bread smells great and the staff are friendly.I really like this hidden place. I will come back again soon.

Lots to love here: an abundant selection of delicious pastries and lunches, friendly staff that seem genuinely happy to be there, and a warm, rustic environment. It feels very at home in this neighbourhood.I’ve been a few times and I love the food here; the baking tastes homemade in the best way. So far I have tried the veggie galette, the sour cream coffee cake, and morning glory muffin. They also did a great job on my London fog!There is a big selection of sweet and savoury baked goods, including single serve things like muffins, scones, cookies, and pie slices, and multi-serving items like whole loaves of bread, bags of small cookies, and I think whole cakes/pies. There are also some sandwiches in addition to the baked goods.Reasonable prices.
