What you see here is the three piece Mogo chicken rice bowl for $16. Like others have found, the chicken is perfectly battered and good sense of crunchiness. The shio garlic sauce I did not use because I found it too salty, especially when the chicken itself has been marinated in salt already. The sweet chilli sauce might make a better balance. Finally, The bowl is topped with the most delicious little kale salad lightly seasoned with a sesame dressing. It would be worthwhile to order the kale salad either on its own as a side, or with teishoku. Seating arrangements are limited, so best to keep your group size maximum at six. Even so, you’ll likely spend some time waiting for a table - consider takeout.

Chicken was so good, service was quick
Unique and incredible crust on their juicy fried chicken. It's like kettle chips that gives way to a tempura finish. Their Mogu salad is also tasty if you like kale. The Japanese beer options compliment well, and service is always friendly.

Great food. Don’t believe it when the menu says each piece is 2-3 bites / they are much bigger. Great little place with friendly and fast services.

The rice is cooked to perfection, just as good as what I had in Japan, well cooked rice makes all the difference.
The karage is flavorful, they did a good job on the marinade, as well as the coating. I could just enjoy the chicken even without the mayonnaise.
It is a very nice place to dine with friends and family.

I love you guys, but we have waited 10-20 mins in a half full restaurant multiple times now. Most recently the servers took orders for people who arrived 10 minutes after us. Trying not to take it personally lol!!

I’ve been to Japan a handful of times, and had karaage every visit, but my favourite karaage of the whole wide world is still from Mogu! Nothing compares to it, and I just can’t ever have enough of it.
Friendly and prompt service, no frills dining, just straight up good fried chicken. I like to get it with a side of rice, a salad, and some fries 👌🏼 meal of gods!
Thanks, Mogu!!

I've been going to this restaurant since they first opened and am always amazed by the consistent high quality, flavourful food that they continue to produce. The chicken karaage is incredibly juicy and crispy, the prices are very reasonable and the service is always top notch. I've also tried most of the items on their menu and can confidently say anything you order will be delicious.
Shout out to the amazing chefs and waitresses Yuki, Kaoru & Yuha!

Really uncomfortable experience tonight. Ordered some food to go and stayed for a couple of beer with a friend while we waited for the order to be complete. Food arrived and I asked for a bag. The server told me I didn’t previously asked for a bag and told me I should have asked at the time of ordering. I apologized and asked to pay along with the beer and was told it was too late. I tried to pay separately and was told it wasn’t possible. As a regular, it just left me feeling really uncomfortable, as a problem I wasn’t able to address. I was with a friend and both of us kept offering to cover the bag charge but we were told we weren’t able. It just ended up being an uncomfortable feeling at the restaurant that felt like it had no possible resolve. Will be awhile before I head back here for sure.
