This was my first time at Monarca for dinner and I found the food to be exceptionally flavoured. We ordered the Salsa Quemada which was a great snack to munch on while waiting for our main course. We weren't in the mood to drink but they had a fun cocktail list with great presentation. I ordered the Pork Belly en Adobo Norteno and it was probably the best pork belly I have had in Vancouver. Busy, too expensive, staff tries but it's too crowded and way overpriced for the 'quality' so you pay for the atmosphere really. My favorite DJs are there , so this is my fun dancing place.

This is a nightclub with food, not a restaurant with a club. If you go in with that expectation you won’t be disappointed. If you think you’re going to a restaurant and expect restaurant quality service you’ll be disappointed.
