Stewed beef is overcooked and oil used to fry does not seem fresh. The beef Curry is a bit salty. Curries taste doesn't take like its made with fresh broth more like dry chicken or beef seasoning. Small place, do not recommend eating in unless you don't mind smelling like old oil.

The most delicious japanese curry! The curry is imported from Japan and made in-house with their own special touch. ( unavailable for purchase in the canadian market )The staff took their time to explain how the curry was made and the cashier was very polite and did her very best to give me details about the food and the process. It made the food taste even better and I really appreciated it. Thank you to the owner and the female cashier for the good food and the warmth! Excellent job.

I friggin love this place. I come here twice a week as im nearby. Never know when it will be open and makes it that much better when it is. It has the wildest hours I've ever seen and it makes me want it so much more. I get the chicken katsu and usually a diet coke. I'm not necessarily on a diet but I figure it's better than a regular coke. So much sugar in the nirmal ones so I just do diet. They don't have coke zero otherwise I would probably just do that. For now diet is fine I guess. If I really wanted to I could prob just go next door and get the coke zero but I want the coke with the meal so can't blame me.

The food is delicious, highly recommend their pumpkin croquette, but the air quality inside the store is very bad. The oil smoke in the kitchen cannot be dissipated. After dine in, all clothes and bags will be stained with the smell, which is difficult to remove. Store is small, do not have too many seats, have to avoid dine in at peak hour.

Ordered the Tonkatsu curry with spice level 2, and it tasted great, exactly like Japanese curry you can get in Japan, definitely no changes made. Place is a bit small, but the food is great.

Pay first and then sit down type of restaurant.Ordered hamburger Katsu curry and beef Curry combo. The miso soup was good. The curry flavour is delicious but the beef in the beef curry was tough.Service was good.Seating is very limited inside and expect your clothes to smell if you choose to dine in

The best spot in Vancouver for katsu curry, the sauce has a depth of flavor that you don't get anywhere else. It's relatively mild, so if you like spicy food you can probably order the highest spice level (4) without fear.

Paid $25 for a currey dish with raw chicken. They were nice enough to ask if I need it replaced / recooked.. But after I finished all the rice already and no appetite for another one. The curry is just okay here.

First time here. Delicious vegan tofu katsu. Number 2 level spicy curry was just right. Tofu is crispy outside and luscious inside. Cheerful service and quickly prepared. I’ll be back!Vegetarian options: Four vegan entrees.

Tasty and I like the savory flavors of their curry. There are quite a few good curry places in Vancouver and Mr. Japanese Curry ranks among the top for me.
