I've been hearing amazing things about Mum’s the Word from friends who swear it’s the best! From the warm atmosphere to the incredible service, they can’t stop raving about it. Whether it’s the delicious food, creative drinks, or the overall vibe, it’s clear this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to experience it for myself soon!

As a local Vancouverite, this place is such a gem in one of the best locations in Vancouver. Can’t go wrong with the vibey atmosphere, drinks and food. The staff were fun and super hospitable. Love it!

Great atmosphere but $30 for a beer and a cocktail is ridiculous

My partner and I came here in January to celebrate my birthday. We heard of many positive things about this spot and wanted it to be the first spot of the night. We were impressed with every drink we had ordered. They were very creative and delicious and had no complaints about the quality. We also took advantage of the happy hour grilled cheese, which was yummy. The atmosphere of the inside lounge was fun and cozy with a flair that reminded me of bars I used to frequent back in Dallas, Texas. Caitlin was very sweet and was fantastic behind the bar. It's definitely a spot to check out if you are in Vancouver!

Favourite place on the Drive! The staff is always so lovely and the drinks are delicious. Also a great spot for a morning coffee and a good book.

Usually come in the evening for cocktails but came during the day to get some work done and have a coffee. Great service as always, the staff here is lovely. Has been my favourite place in the neighbourhood for a while now

Great menu of cocktails and beers. The staff are all friendly and deliver excellent service. I love sitting on the patio, enjoying a drink, and watching Commercial Drive and Grandview Park.

Any time I go in here I find the service very unfriendly. I always end up waiting to order for 7-10 minutes to even be addressed/eye contact/check in. They used to only serve black coffee (no milk options which is bold to label yourself as a cafe/bar). Now that they do, they still “won’t steam milk after 6pm”. As someone who works in the service industry I’m consistently disappointed with this place. “I’ll be with you shortly” goes a long way. Perhaps more staffing needed. Definitely don’t recommend ordering food here, and much better options for drinks elsewhere on the drive.

It feels a little expensive, but the table and chair arrangement are unique, and it was a place where you could talk in a comfortable atmosphere. It's a place I want to visit at night.

The place was pretty much full of people and too loud for me and my friend to hear what each other were saying. My caramel cheesecake bar seemed like it had a piece of leek in it. The bar was expensive at $8. We might've caught a cold from the place.

Dietary restrictions: The server couldn't tell me the ingredients list.

Parking: Free parking in front of school five minute walk away
