Came here on Saturday afternoon as a group of 4 and when we got there, we were prevented from going inside the restaurant and were told by a male server to wait outside because of space limitations (which is very fair), and he mentioned that they only had patio seating right now and we were fine with it (there were multiple free tables in the patio). He told us to wait 5 minutes and he will set the table and we waited for over 20 minutes and he never came back. Another group of two came after us and they went into the restaurant, and immediately got seated in the patio by another staff. We tried politely asking about the status of the table (since the other male staff gave us confirmation that we are getting a patio seating) and the other staff immediately went defensive and said it was different because it was a table for two, not letting us fully explain our situation so we dropped it. After waiting for 5 more minutes hoping that the male server came back, he never did and we decided to just leave the establishment. I’ve honestly been to this location and I typically enjoy the waffles and the service is usually decent (hence the two stars) but the lack of communication between staff during busy hours is disappointing.
