I went to this place after reading reviews of the past 2 years. They were not positive, but I wanted to try myself. I went to this place at about 2pm on a Tuesday and got roast pork and roast duck.
None of the pieces were dry, and none only had fat. All the pieces were good which is in contrast to other reviews I have read. Some of the roast pork skin was a little bit burned, and not all were crispy but it was still good.
The only trouble I had was that their machine didn't accept my Visa debit card.

A friend of mine raves about this place so I raced from across town to make it there before they closed today (both google and their digital window sign say they close at 6pm). Got there at 5:40 only to find the lights turned off and doors locked. Very sad face. Good news is I ended up trying Chic Chic Chicken a couple doors down and it was great! I hope my $12, originally destined for New Sam, brings CC Chicken fame, fortune and many blessings. New Sam? More like Old News.

Was in the neighbourhood, went in to get some bbq meat for the first time with high hope.Asked for roast pork and half a bbq duck.Ended up cheated with old bits and pieces. Roast pork were bone dry and the skin was like leather.The duck was boney and definitely with pieces stolen.Please tell me how does half a duck end up having 2 drumsticks with little meat?

Ripped us off us by using a different label when calculating prices. We bought BBQ pork meat but they used a more expensive roast pork label. We asked about it at the time but they said don't worry about the name on the label but it turned out to be more expensive.

Can’t say I am an expert but I know enough what I am going to say. To me, the deal breaker for any Chinese BBQ place is whether they put the sauce before or after weighing the meat.
I just don’t think they should put any extra sauce on BBQ pork before weighing it. The guy just added it before putting everything on the scale while I had never asked for any sauce.
Quality of the products is not bad but I will avoid going in future due to above reason.

Bad customer service and the meat is very poor and old. They were good a couple years ago but the quality has dropped so much.Ordered their soy sauce chicken/ginger and onion chicken and it the pieces looked so disgusting and old. Only ate a few pieces that looked decently good and threw the rest away. Looking at the pieces made me want to puke.I tried giving this place many tries, but today is the last time.Will not recommend this place to anyone. Much better options elsewhere.

This is my go to for BBQ meats. They are the only one in town who doesn't yell at you for asking for a specific piece of the crispy pork bone? My favorite items to get here are Honey BBQ pork, crispy skin pork and the roasted sausages.

Been coming more than a decade and the bbq meats don't disappoint. I did recall the mixing of old meats that they may have pulled on me once or twice. However the best way to get around this is to ask them not to slice your meats. That way they can't throw in remains from yesterday's batchThe guys behind the counter are not too talkative and somewhat grumpy but these guys don't get hired for their customer service skills

Yesterday I ordered a whole BBQ duck costed $46, I put the tips in the tip cup as usual, one man took my money and he put the ready food in front of me with no bag, it was quite heavy and I asked for a bag, he charged me 35 cents for a bag, holly, I just bought a whole duck but still charged me for a small bag? I could give him money for the bag but his attitude was not nice. I did not want to spend more money on them. Never go back there.

Very disappointed that they cheated me twice! Don't go there! I grew up in the neighborhood many many years ago, and my dad used to go there. Decided to try again after many many years, and ordered their BBQ pork. It was good, and I went back a few times.Then one time I decided to try the roast pork, and ordered 1 Ib. Got home and opened the container and it was basically the ends or scraps, cut likely from other people orders. Ok, gave them another try again for their BBQ pork. Again pretty good! I go yesterday (Nov. 14, 2022) and ordered 1 Ib of roast pork. Cost was $17.24 @ $12.99 per Ib. Most of the time they always give you more then a pound. Anyway, I get to my car, open the container and again they were the end pieces and the scraps. Maybe 3 decent pieces in the whole container!So disappointed that they cheated me again! When I was there I saw many people standing to the side and watching them chop the meat. One guy even went outside to watch from the window, now I understand why!!Anyway, first I felt disappointed yet again, now I am mad and will not go back there! If you go, make sure to watch them cut your order so they don't swap out and give you older meat or other people's end pieces and scraps. I went many times, thanked them, smiled and tried to establish being a regular customer, but they don't care and still cheated me!
